I found blood in my kitty's pee. This simple DIY remedy for cystitis in cats has done wonders for her in less than a day! It helps dissolve bladder crystals, reduce inflammation, and even fight bacteria by lowering the pH of cat urine. You probably already have apple cider vinegar at home, so why not try? Just make sure you watch your cat closely to make sure it's peeing, especially if it's a male, because urine blockages can be fatal, and always consider carefully if it's an emergency or if you can afford to try something natural for a few days first. Hope this information helps you and your kitties! Thanks so much for watching!
Simply yours,
Vita xx

I did this only put it in my Brucys water. He was peeing a little blood. It cleared it up and never had a problem. I took him to the vet and he was perfect. Blood work great. He lasted 23 years this year. I miss him terribly. I had him over half of my marriage

We had the same issue with our cat, and I found someone online that mentioned adding it to their water. So I started adding a squirt every time I change her water (I keep it in a squirt bottle in the bathroom where I change it). It's been months now with no recurrence! 👍 Always love your videos!

Rub Organic raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with "the Mother" on their fur (cat's sides) or the top of their paws. They will lick it off. Use two tablespoons a day for a few days rubbing it on each side of their fur or paws until you see them have relief. Remember to shake the bottle first. Organic apple cider vinegar will start to go into immediate action for the cat to get relief from the blockage. It saved my cat that was pissing blood and then could not pee while squatting all the time. Also, it helps get rid of UTI bacteria; Walmart sells it. Additionally, "Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth" gets rid of UTI's over time sold on Amazon. Completely safe for cats with no limitations of consumption and has no salt in it. Cat's tolerate it because it has almost no taste. Just be careful not to breath it in by getting it dusted up in the air. Make sure to only use "Food Grade."Use at least about 1/4 teaspoon per small can wet catfood. If you use clay litter make sure you use the unscented. Scented can irritate their pee track with synthetic chemicals leading to inflammation and UTI blockages. Keep in mind that it is important to ensure cats, when feeling normal, get enough water to keep their system flowing. Try putting some added bit of water in their wet food. Avoid salty meats if they are having this problem. Also, buy "cranimals" from amazon. It is a cranberry extract that helps the kidneys and gets rid of UTI problems. Put it in the wet cat food or rub on them mixed with water. www.walmart.com/ip/Bragg-Organic-Raw-Unfiltered-Apple-Cider-Vinegar-with-Mother-32-Fl-Oz/32590745 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00025H2PY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FVWT9FE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

@@Binoculars-ot6xu my cat has got uti and also crystals in her urine and I can't afford the operation... but if I put things in her food she will not eat it... and I heard apple cider rots the teeth if given directly... Any idea how I can help her?

@@noneofyobusiness1503 Rub it into her fur. She will lick it off. It is much more important to administer the organic apple cider vinegar than to ever worry about her losing teeth which is unlikely. Recently my one year old domestic shorthair girl (cat lol) had UTI. We did urine analysis for her and it came back pretty normal with no crystals except PH in her pee is a bit high. She had most of the symptoms - straining, few drops of pee each time, noticeably blood in urine, running in and out the box every few mins. My vet did not give me any antibiotics because she wanted to wait for another test results for bacteria analysis (culture). In the meantime, my poor bb was still peeing blood. I looked around and found this product from Homeopet - its called UTI relief. It worked like magic, within hours i have squirt the dose with a syringe directly into her mouth and I dont find any blood in her pee no more.

oh wow, I just spent 30 minutes trying to give my cat the dose by mouth since he wouldn't eat it even in tuna or liquid treats... well worth it because he went and peed!!! I'm so thrilled and almost in tears. He had gone to the ER last week for same issue and I had been watching him like a hawk, as it wasn't severe but I knew how dangerous it could be. next step...figuring out how to give it to him without stressing him out 😂 thank you! 🙏

I always check when ever I see him go to his liter and look his pee, and i can see like little drops. Hopefully this works for my cat since I can't afford to take him to vet for now. Thanks again.

Thank you so much, it helped a lot. My cat had stopped peeing and after I took him back from the hospital it took almost 5-10 minutes to pee. After I fed him apple vinegar he improved almost immediately. Have him on some pet meds and he's improving, but nothing had worked until after the vinegar cleared things up.

Yes. There are huge pee bombs again and the urine doesn't smell of ammonia. Yaaay! I've also stopped feeding them dry food for a while. In February I got 2 shelter cats that came in together, so were still learning about each other. I have a 3year old girl who's always happy and a 5year old boy that still won't let me touch him. Does that mean he was abused or traumatized, because I've had cats all my life and I've never seen that behavior unless it was a stray?

Hi, I just want to warn you to do this if you do not know exactly what Stones it is. Struvite stones are the only "stones" (crystals) that can be dissolved by lowering Ph. They are formed by various factors, too high PH in the food (6.5-6.9) vs normal 6-6.2. Diets high in magnesium, phosphorus, calcium, sodium, chloride, and fiber, with moderate protein content also is a known factor. Also cats drinking to little or moving to little. If you instead get too low PH, oxalate stones can form and they can not dissolve. They can also become very large and completely stop the passage. Most often its in male cats it become an acute condition as male cats easier get a complete stop because they have longer urethra. If you are not completely sure that it is struvite crystals, you can make the condition worse by helping to form oxalate stones or that existing oxalate stones become larger faster. The most important thing about struvite or other smaller stones (if the condition is not acute due to a complete stop) is that the cat drinks a lot of fluid so it can urinate existing crystals or stones and has a flow of urination that prevents new stones from forming. Also the cat may have pain and associate the pain with the litterbox and avoid going there. (You should at least have one litter box /cat plus one more litter box.) Veterinary feed for struvite is made so that the PH is a little lower and that the substances mentioned earlier are in smaller quantities also it has more salt to make the cat thirsty and drink more. However, if you use those for too long, it can instead contribute to oxalate stones as previously mentioned and they can only be removed almost exclusively through surgery unless they are very small. In other words, struvite is preferable but one must be careful so that oxalates do not form. In many cases stress is a big factor and/or the wrong food, but sometimes the cat can have an infection at the same time and if this is the case, there may be bacteria bound in the struvite crystals. When they are dissolved, a lot of bacteria can be released. In this scenario antibiotics are also needed as treatment. This is why you often do several different things at the vet. *Cultivation, to see if bacteria are present and if so what sort of bacreria. *X-ray where you can see if there are stones. *Urine analysis *blood tests. *Ultrasounds may be needed. I am writing this just to warn you that it is not as simple as it may first seem by lowering the Ph in the food with apple cider vinegar. And should not be done long term because of the risk with oxalte stones. This is just to make you aware of the impotance of knowing what stones/crystals it is.

This works! Cat went to vet two days ago, abcess that had to be lanced. He was on antibiotic and gabapentin for paid. Was fine but the pain med causes consitpation and then he stopped urinating. I did not think it was a UTi, rather a stone or pain med affected his nerves to go. Regardless i gave him green tea, honey and ACV and within 45 mins he urinated! It's saturday, no local vet, would have to drive to Cornell Vet Hospital and pay $400 ER fee ++. Will talk to the vet on Monday to decide if we need to pursue, otherwise i'm going to change up food and pay attention to H2O. If you have similar it certainly is worth a try!!

Thank you! This makes me calm... My cat started straining for about 4 days. Now, I'm trying this ACV by giving him a teaspoon of it with a mixture of 1 tbsp of water. I give him 2ml in the morning, 2ml in the afternoon, and 2ml before sleeping at night. I hope he gets better and better. I hope your cat also gets better. Let's help them as much as we can. They are very dependent to us especially in times of their sickness. Just always be with your cat and pet him or her often. It will make them feel more comfortable and helps them recover quickly. Lots of love and care, Michaela 💛😽

Rub Organic raw unfiltered Apple Cider Vinegar with "the Mother" on their fur (cat's sides) or the top of their paws. They will lick it off. Use at least two tablespoons in a day or if necessary a few days in an emergency for cats. For very young cats reduce that amount to one tablespoon. For kittens use only a teaspoon. Rub the organic apple cider vinegar on each side of their fur or the top of their paws until you see them have relief. Remember to shake the bottle first. If you have a wild cat that doesn’t take orders, then douse him with a good bit in a small glass. A lot will bead of his fur. Also, they will not be able to lick off the entirety of it all at once. Organic apple cider vinegar will start to go into immediate action for the cat to get relief from the blockage. It saved my cat that was pissing blood and then could not pee while squatting all the time. Also, it helps get rid of UTI bacteria; Walmart sells it. Ideally, it is best to use organic apple cider vinegar because it tastes rather good and is much more tolerable for the cat to ingest it compared to the filtered kind which tastes horrible. Remember only to use the organic apple cider vinegar as necessary. Too much too often could lead to an ulcer. From my experience a couple tablespoons a week has not hurt my cat. If it is a real emergency you could go beyond that just do not let it come to a habit of more than that each week. Keep in mind; you will likely have reoccurring bouts with this for a while. That is why I recommend some other preventative measures as you read on below: Keep in mind that it is important to ensure cats, when feeling normal, get enough water to keep their system flowing. Ensure they eat wet cat food over dry for the moisture content, Consider temporarily stopping the cat from eating dry food or even permanently if necessary. Too much dry food leads to blockages with lack of hydration compared to canned cat food. Try putting some added bit of water in their wet food. Avoid salty meats if they are having this problem. Salty meats or salty canned food meats like tuna will stop up your cat for sure! If you use clay litter make sure you use the unscented. Scented can irritate their pee track with synthetic chemicals leading to inflammation and UTI blockages. Never use clumping litter for cats; it can lead to blockages because cats can ingest it much easier. That can cause ingestion of sludge and bacteria leading to inflammation and UTI’s. Clumping litter is known to be extremely dangerous for kittens and not good for cats in general. Buy only fragrant free non-clumping litter, and then add one heaping tablespoon of baking soda mixed in per 10 pounds of cat litter that you use. It will naturally neutralize the smell; Just do not go beyond that because baking soda is really high in salt which is dangerous for cats if they ingest it more than a tiny amount by licking their paws each time using the litter box. I have used it for my cat and it works well, he actually prefers this litter combination. Baking soda is known to help aid and help get rid of UTI’s. Never give it to your cat other than in the litter! Additionally, use feline pine litter and add it to your litter with several handfuls to add a nice fragrant smell. A little goes a long way to just supplement the litter. Also, consider buying "cranimals" from amazon. It is a cranberry extract that helps the kidneys and gets rid of UTI problems. Put 1/4 teaspoon in two small cans of wet cat food or equivalent to that with one big can. You can also wash out an old salt and peppershaker to sprinkle a decent amount in their food. Any amount more than that I have noticed they will not eat it. Putting cranimals cranberry powder in their food will help keep their pee acidic to break down crystals. Additionally, "Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth" helps assist in UTI treatment sold on Amazon. It is a "diuretic" thus helps people and animals urinate 30% more to empty the bladder to keep crystals from forming. Completely safe for cats with no limitations of consumption and has no salt in it. Cats tolerate it because it has almost no taste. Just be careful not to breathe it in by getting it dusted up in the air because it is dangerous to breathe it in. Make sure to only use "Food Grade."Use at least about 1/4 teaspoon per small can wet cat food. Lastly, I have learned of a brand called "tinkle tonic" from chewy or amazon that some claim helped their cats. Finally, consider your cat’s stress level. Stress could be another factor that can lead to inflammation of the bladder area. Try to ensure he has enough to do to keep happy. Hey guys, I took my cat off tap water and he recovered. I believe it was the minerals in the hard water that were causing this. Even though the vet said that tap water can’t cause it and there were no blockages on his x-ray. When I was at the vet I asked about the water and he said no. He said stress causes it. I literally looked it up on my phone as he took the cat to examine him and within seconds, found tons of evidence that cats who drink tap water in hard water areas are much more prone to cystitis. He said to give him stress drops. The stress drops did NOTHING. He only was healed after I changed the water. He is still stressed out as he and my other cat fight all the time. He hasn’t had an episode and has miraculously recovered after I switched to the distilled water. It must be distilled water. Animals cannot process the chlorine, fluoride or minerals in spring, tap, most bottled water. And refrigerator filters do not filter out chlorine and fluoride. The screw on tap filters do nothing to filter out the chlorine and fluoride either. Many of the pitcher filters do not either. You can get it from any store or have it delivered. The water must read “000” or as close to it as possible. And also I gave the neighbor’s dog only distilled water when they were out of town to work with her and she made a 50% recovery in 6 days! She had osteoarthritis and couldn’t even lay down on her bed properly. It took her like 20 seconds just to sit and she groaned in pain. She is so much more agile and up and trotting around. It says it will take 7-60 days for animals to recover from chlorine and fluoride or mineral toxicity. It is causing arthritis and cancer in animals. Not just that, it’s causing so many other issues with the pets I was pet sitting for. Lipomas, paw issues, skin issues, brain issues, unexplained health issues. You name it, tap and hard tap water were killing the animals I know and love. I started drinking it too and feel much better this week. If it’s the water, maybe this might help. Good luck with this guys!

My female beagle mix had surgery recently due to a bladder full of stones as some were deemed not passable. At the same time one of my cats, a female has been having urinary issues and I guess I’ll be taking her to the vet also. Hmmm so what could be causing this in both animals at the same time?….I now strongly suspect it is my water. I have an artesian well and while the water is soft, it has a VERY high ph and alkalinity. I have called several vets including holistic and even a local Veterinarian school to ask what I can do to lower the ph and alkalinity. So far no one has any answers for me. I am concerned about what affect this may be having on my other cats and dogs as well. I am not sure what I can do about this. I have read that distilled water is good but have also read that it is bad. I just wish I could figure out what to do in order to lower the ph and alkalinity of my water, at least what I am giving my pets. I don’t know that a purifying water pitcher will even help. Any suggestions on this matter would be so greatly appreciated.

Hello - I am picking my cat up from the vets in 1/2 hour. He was blocked with Struvite crystals. He is on Royal Canin the special food for acidity now but has only been for a couple days. He was sedated at the vet and catheterized when I had to bring him back to the vet yesterday morning, which was Friday. I took him Thursday but he was able to pee a little so they sent him home. He had the same symptoms Friday morning so I took him back and they said they would normally keep him catheterized for two days but they r closed on Sundays. OMG. I just picked up some apple cider vinegar after watching this video and am going to go get him in a minute. PLEASE, PLEASE TELL ME WHAT U WOULD DO. I do not think he ate anything while down at the vet so he is going to b very hungry. I think I should put 1/4 tspn in his food with water just like u said immediately to prevent him from getting blocked again. My poor Shilo. I love him to pieces and will do whatever I have to to help him. They prescribed Neurontin for pain, a muscle relaxer for his urethra or bladder muscles and and meloxicam. PLEASE REPLY AND GOD BLESS YOU!
@Vitalivesfree
@Vitalivesfree 3 года назад
Hello! How's the kitty doing? I hope he's doing better now. The first thing I want to say is look at the ingredients of Royal Canin special food. They are awful and couldn't be further away from what a healthy diet is for a cat. Cats are purely carnivores, and that's what they need to be healthy and to keep their urine pH low enough. What I did with my kitty was get her completely natural canned cat food, ideally it shouldn't contain any grains, but mine had a tiny bit of rice (less than 5%), which isn't too bad. And I added some vinegar and water to that with every single meal. The problem never came back. Struvite crystals form when the urine isn't acidic enough, so what you want to do is make it more acidic. Apple cider vinegar is perfect for that. Good luck!
@hlwjgirl
@hlwjgirl 3 года назад
@@Vitalivesfree Thank you. I do not know how u get your cat to eat cat food with vinegar in it but that is great that u did. Shilo had to go back to the vet after I picked him up on Sat. He was straining again and peeing little bits around the house so I took him in again. Another different vet. 4 vets in about 5 days I believe. All of them are good vets but the two of the vets that own the practice here are married and one has cancer so I believe they r doing the best they can but u know. So the vet he saw yesterday (Monday) put him on a med that is supposed to help with the smooth muscle of his urethra and bladder. I was giving him water thru a syringe with vinegar but the vet says just let him be a cat and drink on his own. Please tell me what food you are giving your kitty. In the meantime I will search for a product that is all meat and very little grains.

Yes, cats are very sensitive to people in the family passing. They feel it just like humans. And I'm so sorry for your loss. :-( You can mix with tuna, but be careful not to give her the one with lots of salt as it's only going to make bladder problems worse. Your best bet is either getting proper cat food in cans or just get some raw chicken and mince it, then add some vinegar solution to it.

The easiest way to deal with feline UTI is increased fluid and d-mannose. Water down their food a little bit and stir in 250-500 milligrams d-mannose spread out over a few feedings. You can do this every day for the rest of their lives without any concerns. Adding in 400+ grams of lysine daily can also help greatly.

Put it in the wet cat food or rub on them mixed with water. www.walmart.com/ip/Bragg-Organic-Raw-Unfiltered-Apple-Cider-Vinegar-with-Mother-32-Fl-Oz/32590745 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00025H2PY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FVWT9FE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Does it work for cats with bladder blockage or leaking urination?!
@themoonbleu627

yes

It can help dissolve the crystals that might be causing the blockages, but you need to be careful. If the cat can't pee at all, it's an emergency and needs to be seen by a vet urgently. And for leaking urination, I really don't know.

You can do it with dry food as well, just add some water. Or some raw chicken or other meat.

If she's not eating at all, it's serious and she needs to see a vet. This method isn't suitable in an emergency situation like this. Every hour counts. Hope she's doing better by now! ❤️
