When I was homeless I seen guys had spots similar usually used pallets and plywood to build. My longest spot was a shipping container in a overgrown forest behind a Steel plant in Coquitlam. I ran power from the steel plant I musta had 15 extension cords from the Building to the Container. I never brought anyone to it had heat, a tv, a bed with full frame ,a couch, hangers for my clothes to dry. Was a Good 18 months till I got woke up one morning by a worker who said hey Bud? We’re moving this your g9nna have to go now. I was like u knew I was here? He said No but obviously u have been for awhile Wow u have power! Hah. Dude was nice about it gave me 48 hours and 50 buks.

So what if he's on railway property, he's obviously not bothering anyone.

This man should be applauded not evicted. I understand why we can't have people running around doing this every day but it's helping the homless and you can't get much more environmentally friendly. Also, stories like this are why I love the CBC.

I'm with Artemis, he should be praised and applauded. Also, he looks aboriginal/first nations, so technically it's his land to begin with (assuming he is). Who the hell are they to boss him around? Most homeless people couldn't pull something like this off in a million years.

This guy today told me did you watch T.V or read Vancouver Sun. I said no. Then he told me about the news of his bunker, he build. He seems very proud of it. I googled it to see the news. Such a hard working man.
