Home Sweet Home, there is no better place to unwind.
For this mix I collected a bunch of cozy sounding songs, perfect for a peaceful home.
This video is a reworked version of 'Rest at Home', a mix made I made more than one year ago. I replaced a lot of songs that were in that mix, but why? let me explain:
Since I've started making videos, my approach to making themed videos has changed quite a bit. Before, I used to pick songs based on whether they sounded relaxing and had a name that correlated with the theme. For example, in the case of the 'Rest at Home' video, I picked a lot of songs that sounded relaxing and had the word Home in them. However, I kind of disregarded the fact that the songs should also MUSICALLY capture the vibe of the theme. Therefore, some of the songs I picked were either to upbeat or to melancholic to capture the cozy home feeling.
Currently, I focus more on staying musically consistent, and less on having track names that correspond with the theme. So, in this updated video, I replaced many songs that didn't fit in anymore in my opinion

I love compilation videos, I listen to them a lot at work. Video games, lo-fi mixes, all kinds of stuff. You put a lot of thought and care into your videos, and now that it's so easy for bots to whip up a 24 hour long "playlist" of songs and not credit a single person, I want you to know how much your work and effort is appreciated. Hey, first, great mix and video. Love it. Second, I noticed at 1:27:19 it transitions to a new song, but is still labeled as Keves Colony (Night). I'm not sure what the song is (though I know I've heard it before), but I know it's not a continuation of KC(N).

You know, I had a busy day yesterday. I tried very hard to get everything done during the day so I wouldn't have the slightest discomfort at night. It's amazing how history repeats itself. Well, the reincarnation of the "Rest at Home" mix gave me again that same cozy and relaxing feeling as its predecessor. A feeling that touched my heart at the time to the point that makes me feel melancholy every time I remember the night when I listened to it. I recognize that when it comes to making thematic videos your approach has evolved for the better. Just as you have become an expert in choosing tracks that capture the essence of the theme beyond the name, I have become an expert in knowing how to appreciate that in those mixes that really have a varied selection, but above all, that are immersive in terms of the theme. And you have succeeded, my friend. I know perfectly well that I gave Like to "Rest at Home" at the time and became your sub, although now I will take advantage of "Home Sweet Home" to do what I should have given it too: a comment with my 10/10 and a definitive place in my collection of VGM mixes.
