That attic 5 level floor would be great with skylights for natural lighting! Use it as a library or a little hideaway and looking at the stars:)

Just got around to watching this blog. Love your new home. Yes turn the basement into an everyday TV room with a wrap around couch that way when you have family over that area is great for movie nights etc. Kitchen cabinets look good painted. Job well done. Attic just complete the flooring and just keep it for storage and holiday decor for the year. Really great space for storage

Nice to see your new home Stella. The creaking floors….sprinkle talcum power on the floor and then use a broom to sweep it into the spaces between the boards. That should help the creaking.

This reminds me of my grandparent's home! It brings back such sweet memories. It's such a nice home. I would have painted the kitchen cabinets too. My grandad would drill screws into the floor to get rid of the squeaks (drilled the underside from in the basement) but if he could not access the squeak that way, he would sprinkle talcum powder over the boards. I hope that room gets used in the way you want it to. Prayers for you and Bart. Give Frannie a big hug from all of us. ❤
