Next Up for Top Rank Boxing, WBC/IBF unified light heavyweight world champion Artur Beterbiev moved to Montreal nearly a decade ago to embark on his professional journey following a pair of Olympic berths for his native Russia. Sixteen fights into his career, he will return to his adopted hometown for the first time as a world champion.
Beterbiev, boxing’s only world champion with a 100 percent knockout rate, will defend his world titles against WBC No. 1 contender and 2012 U.S. Olympian Marcus Browne on Friday Dec. 17 at the Bell Centre in Montreal.
#BeterbievBrowne will headline a loaded world title tripleheader streaming live and exclusively in the United States on ESPN+.

So many responses saying he got dropped. It was a flash knockdown, he was never hurt, he didn't take the fight seriously. Did you see him get dropped against Gvozdyk an elite fighter who retired Adonis stevenson ? Those were monster shots gvozdyk threw, walked him down and KO Gvozdyk. Gvozdyk retired after this fight. I'm telling you if any fighter thinks he is easy cause he got dropped, that fighter is going to be retired. Dude is a straight savage.

Beterbiev is all business, how he did Gvodzyk who put Adonis Stevenson in a coma was jaw-dropping cause Gvozdyk was really impressive ... that fight was so technically satisfying, Beterbiev showcased his abilities with wicked power and relentless stamina, he remained patient, applying calculative pressure to set up shots. The scariest thing is that he never telegraphs his power shots, which is destructive because within the blink of an eye he can throw a punch with so much force that can end you, all while mandhandling you like a rag doll ... he's a fucking wrecking ball with a stellar amateur record who's bound for greatness and anyone overlooking this man will be made to look like a fool sooner or later.

Bivol is young he got plenty of time, but is not the case for artur, he gotta foight canelo first before bivol. @james Deer Arthur beterbiev is 175 and so is Bivol the two best there.. 160 is Andrade, Charlo , GGG is on the way out. Canelo can't make 154 or 160. He said he struggled to stay at 168. But he is going for Makumba at 185. But doesn't want to face the real champion at cruiserweight.

It should be good and Browne should pose him some problems stylistically and Beterbiev turns 37 next month and is on the slide so if Browne is ever going to beat him this is the best time for him to do so. But Browne clearly lost to Radivoje Kalajdzic too in what was a disgraceful robbery.

Beterbiev is an absolutly beast. He's the Most fearless fight for Canelo. Makabu was the better options, remember they was saying "BETERBIEV NEXT". Well..

@@jimmyp2674 if you knew about boxing you wouldn't be talking crap. Cruiser weight is the normal weight of Berbetiev not Canelo. He is jumping to cruiser weight to face Makabu who is way less dangerous then Berbetiev. Boxing is a business and money/risk wise it wouldn't be smart of Canelo to face Berbetiev on that weight but at the end of the end I'm quite sure he will so who cares. Just remember it's Canelo who is going up from 168 to 200 pounds no one else. People will still talk mad crap if Canelo's beat him or loose. The hate is real! Have a good day!
