Wasn't the "HVAC System" really a pneumatic tube system for sending stuff all over the town? Also HVAC is just central heating and air conditioning.

@@gragsmash As a homeowner (And one with a busted HVAC system to boot), I can tell you that HVAC is the wrong term for what those things are. The real term is "pneumatic tube transport or PTT" (thanks Wikipedia). Generally, you don't have a constant vacuum on those tubes, and there's a station plugged into both ends. You put whatever you're going to send into a plastic capsule. (My company uses them to send meds to the nursing units at many of our hospitals.) Then you stick the capsule into the station and hit the send button. Then you get a vacuum on the line. If something is incoming, it reverses the suck/blow direction.

The Pipesmen might not be the best at their job

I used to work at a supermarket where each till had a vacuum tube that we'd put the float from tills into capules and then send the capsules down the tube to the cash office (i.e. A small bank vault). It was fun to use.

The Pipesmen are very good at their job, you just have to be very careful defining what their job is. It doesn't involve helping people, that's for sure.

​@@PlebNC I work at a supermarket where we still do this. Though we had a bit of a scare when we realised one of the capsules was missing, turns out it had gotten stuck in the ceiling. At least the money was safe where it was? They eventually got someone in to help retrieve it.

@kalef2 Bold of you to assume the Pipesmen would bother with simple and obvious safety measures, even if they protect the Pipesmen themselves and/or the things they create.

To be fair, between the hallucinogenic mushrooms as part of the staple Nsbergian diet and the absolutely unending shitstorm of weird nonsense happening in this town, I could see people losing track of one more of of the ongoing insane boondoggles, hornswoggles, or buffonieries.

Well, it could have been worse; they could have singled out an introvert and lured her to prom on false pretenses, even pretending to make her prom queen before pulling the icky prank - I mean, that sort of malevolence would likely provoke cosmic justice of a severe nature. And that couldn't have been the case, because G-Money is alive and well to mention the pig's blood incident.
