He also voted to not certify the election results for the state of PA (where we live) so he’s also on team Trump. I was born in the 50’s …Swedish family all served, left the farm to their women who also served as nurses if not at home… the men with missing limbs, quiet needs were all common scars of the war. Yes, my thoughts exactly. My Uncle Clyde was a US Merchant Mariner who survived the Battle of the North Atlantic. He had "flattened emotions" for the rest of his life, and we kids were forbidden to ask him about the war. Back then there was no treatment for PTSD -- a term that hadn't been coined yet.

Just the day before yesterday we remembered all the soldiers who helped getting democracy back to us, in WWII. Nationally and locally it was remembered. Respect to all who gave their lives or returned with experiences nobody should have. But they did it anyway. And we will never forget. My dad was only 14 when we got in to WWII, but six, yes 6, of his brothers joined up and fought in the war. 3 in the Army and 3 in the Navy. They all fought to put down the fascist dictatorships of the Axis countries. We need to help Ukraine with whatever they need to fight off Putin.

My father and 2 uncles landed in Normandy to combat the Nazi’s and free Europe and of course our country! During WW2 the Nazi’s in America refused the draft or to join our military but we didn’t round them up as we should have!! A win for Ukraine is a win to stop another WW and for our freedom!!

@Frenite yeah but then you vote for politicians who oppose social spending, improved education funding etc. Also most of the money in the US aid bill subsidizes defense manufacturing in the US, which helps create manufacturing jobs. All very beneficial for the US. But I get the feeling you already know that and would rather keep complaining
