@Kekeh What makes his character tragic and "relatable" despite his misdeeds is how, with a positive and right upbringing, he could have turned into an actual hero and not the emotionally unstable villain he is in the TV series.
Well when you grow up being told nothing but non stop praise your entire life, you grow up to have a way to big to fit ego and get angry when someone you want to give you attention, gives attention to someone else. Even if it’s a baby
@@donn2843 That’s wrong. He had one incident when he was wasted in Spain. Other than that, the cast and crew really love him and hang out with him all the time.
@you are handsome but i think ugly that's so lame. You could either become the greatest superhero or an all powerful villain and you decide you're just going to keep a low profile in life. At least you could use your powers to cheat on sports and achieve something bro.
I have personally done this about ten times. It gets annoying and sometimes I do it on accident you know, it gets quite annoying, and I have plans to cut down on this habit.
I clicked on the video, a bit skeptical, as i didn’t think me and homelander would have much in common. But the very first clip made me relate to him so hard. I also laser planes in half with my eyes often.
It's pretty good since you can actually "imagine" how a laser would burn (clean yet devasting cut) or a very fast object crashing you directly would be (yeah i think exploding it's the first and maybe only outcome lol)
Just found out that I’m the Homelander of my group I was super offended…… so I used my laser beams on them Can’t be the Homelander of a group if there is no group
Not really. He have a good point about punching stright through the plane. Remember, even fucking bird flying into plane can literally destroy metal parts.
@@danteghazizadeh1656 You make it seem like he has the power to decide whether he should prioritize everyone's well-being. 💀 You don’t have to care about everyone
Never understood the plane dilemma, he already pushes off air. It’s literally the ability to create leverage and push off of anything, including obviously air.
I’m not so sure how Relatable being a evil Psychopathic man child with super powers is especially killing innocent people and children like how he left those people including that little girl on the plane die without even trying using his heat vision all the time, this is why soldier boy had the right idea to keep his word Despite being his father and having ryan as his grandson until butcher screwed everything up.
Homelander is just what would happen if a normal person in the real world got powers, also he has a damn good point on the "stopping the plane in motion" part
@@adammarch9604 That actually does, it's a reference towards a line from The Incredibles that the villain Syndrome, said. "And when everyone's super-! *_No one will be."_*
Dude, John must be the most relatable and down to earth superhero. That time he left the whole plane to die lmao tHaTs So Me, i mean, I'm always ignoring my obligations, it's literally the same as that. Letting them die because he is too lazy to save them one by one, lmao so me hahahahahaha
@@Lite727 HAHAHAH Ikr always quiet, not saying a word because he received a forced lobotomy hahahah so socially akward hahahaha Earving is sooooo meeeeee I'm still more of a John, sometimes I get annoyed and mass murder everyone with my optical beam
I'm calling it, Hylian is a villain. The fact that he has the title of this vid is called "Homelander being relatable for 10 minutes and 1 second (S01). Key word, relatable. Means that he can relate to all of the things that Homelander has done. Which are all bad things!🤣🤣🤣
I really feel like in the plane scene, he actually gives a very valid reason not to lift or stop it, Man Homelander is the best hero, so caring and intelligent 🔥🔥🔥
I've seen so many argue about whether or not Homelander could've saved the plane by using physics, while ignoring the fact that he is literally a guy who can fly which breaks the laws of physics
I know everyone else in the comments is making jokes, but to be honest for a second there were several moments throughout The Boys where I found myself relating to Homelander. Obviously it wasn't scenes like Homelander laser beaming a plane and making it crash, but scenes where Homelander was just talking, the way he would talk, what he would say, even how he thought sometimes, it got pretty relatable to me. I don't know if that's a good thing or a bad thing but he's my favorite character from the show so I'll let it be a good thing. (Also the second most relatable character for me, or the character tied for first, is definitely Hughie, that boy oozes being a constant mood)
This is me. Literally me. No other character can come close to relating to me like this. There is no way you can convince me this is not me. This character could not possibly be anymore me. It's me, and nobody can convince me otherwise. If anyone approached me on the topic of this not possibly being me, then I immediately shut them down with overwhelming evidence that this character is me. This character is me, it is indisputable. Why anyone would try to argue that this character is not me is beyond me. If you held two pictures of me and this character side by side, you'd see no difference. I can safely look at this character every day and say "Yup, that's me". I can practically see this character every time I look at myself in the mirror. I go outside and people stop me to comment how similar I look and act to this character. I chuckle softly as I'm assured everyday this character is me in every way. I can smile each time I get out of bed every morning knowing that I've found my identity with this character and I know my place in this world. It's really quite funny how similar this character is to me, it's almost like we're identical twins. When I first saw this character, I had an existential crisis. What if this character was the real me and I was the fictional being. What if this character actual became aware of my existence? Did this character have the ability to become self aware itself?
FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN'T RELATE WITH HOMELANDER Imagine an alternate reality, where YOU were born as Homelander and went through the same conditioning and issues which gave you the same stress, anxiety, abandonment and mental trauma. The relatable part is How would act then? *And if you're saying you'd be the same then You're already a sociopath*
The actual result of a person having superpowers, plus the fucked up upbringing doesn't help. One of the best actors our little country has ever produced. Outrageous Fortune will ALWAYS be his best role.
