Only if he doesnt respect them usually he can tell by their heartbeats. That's why he allows Butcher to back talk him same with Edgar. Homelander respects both of them because they aren't afraid of him no matter what.
@@oleksiishvets6344 not if I’m smart, I’m sure butcher and his mates would have something to offer me. Especially if I have something to offer them, maybe more V or maybe some info about Ryan…
@@proskeptical789 Yeah, starting to feel like the reason they had the Deep do that in season 1 is cause it is still the only seriously bad thing I can think of him having done of his own volition. Other than being a misogynist he's like the most reasonable person on the seven.
Just like what Sister Sage said his ego is to big to allow someone to challenge his ideas or to look better than him.Hence why he got rid of Stan and Stilwell
@@rand_xcurse6884he got rid of stillwell for lying to him again and again. He got rid of Stan bc he wanted to be in power and Stan was protecting ppl like starlight from him.
@@lancemuise2005I don't believe it was confirmed but many suspect that Soldier Boy was supposed to have originally groomed or sexually assaulted Gunpowder The only remaining part of this allegedly removed storyline was when Gunpowder blew off Butcher for trying to blackmail him with "evidence" of Soldier Boy molesting him before getting ganked in the parking lot with TempV
1:29 lol you can see how Homelander gets even more angry when The Deep just does what he says even though he clearly doesnt want to do it. Bro misses Edgar BADLY.
No, he gets angry beacuse he IS doing it, watch the whole scene he literally said he does not want them to listen to them he wants them to be able to think on thier own and Oppose
Butcher, Soldier Boy, and Hughie were all able to work together and beat the crap out of him. And then Maeve was able to land some blows on him that hurt as well. Homelander is actually not as strong as everyone thinks he is. He just keeps up the illusion of being unstoppable and making his team fear him so they would never think to try and actually attack him. Come to think of it, rarely do we see a Supe actually try to attack him. They mostly just try to run away or just stand there like deer in headlights.
@@chiymaiI think he likes it as long as they are not in his way or challenge him in private because he's a classic narcissist who will act differently if they are more people.
@@justinguyos5476Soldier Boy is literally physically equal to Homelander. Temp V Butcher and Maeve are close enough. The average supe gets one shot by Homelander
No notices how terrifying it is that homelander is getting tired of yes men. Yes men are literally the only reason everyone is still alive. His son is now the one thing stopping him from genocide
It’s not just that, he’s unhappy and unsatisfied with his life goals. He wanted to reach the top of Vought and he did, but he’s uninterested and incapable of running the damn thing and he knows it. He’s also able to kill people in broad daylight and his fans love him for it now, and his reaction is telling, he’s insulted by such stupidity.
@@matthewriley7826he's insulted but he'd be mad if they didn't cheer too. Don't make him out to be some smart person. He literally is incapable of happiness.
He's been tired of it since Season 2, he was absoutely disgusted by the praise Doppleganger gave him using his apperance to the point he killed them right on the spot because it hit him too close to home.
chace crawford as the deep is so underrated man. sometimes playing a stupid character for comic relief can come off as forced especially when their whole personality is just their idiocy. he plays the deep so well with nearly effortless comic talent
Well Homelander just likes to humiliate him. If Deep glazes him he'll still get pissed even if he didn't Homelander will still get pissed lmao. Bro has no option
He's not testing loyalty. He wants them to challenge his words which is ironic considering he doesn't like challenges against his thinking either. He wanted Deep to say "no im not blowing A train", but he's deathly afraid of HL so Deep does what HL says. Everyone in that room is afraid of Homelander so they'll treat him like a god whos every word is sacred. And that's pissing him off.
I don't know if its lack of intelligence or just not watching the show besides this scene but its pretty clear that he wants them to at least try to disobey. He wants them to rebel so he can put them in their place not just be yes men. Hes not testing loyalty
Uhm. Homelander is a narcissistic psychopath. He isn’t testing loyalty. He can’t relate to human beings because he doesn’t see human beings as worthy of being relatable. That’s why he is so pissed off with them for not being able to know what he wants when he wants it.
Yeah, he's contradicting himself because of course none of them will challenge him because they're all terrified of him and like you said, he established that fear in everyone( except for people like Stan Edgar and Queen Maeve).
From the start, I was pretty sure Homelander wasn't going to follow through with it. He was just trying to make a point about how f**king overblown their sycophancy has gotten. His expression at 1:30 says it all. "Look at yourself. Look what you've f**king become." Ashley's grin said: "This is totally going in my spankbank." She gets off on humiliating people.
Homelander when someone challenges him but is nervous: 😡😡😡 Homelander when everyone agrees and does whatever he says: 😡😡😡 Homelander when someone challenges him deadass with no changes to their heartbeat: 😢😢😢
He spent years threatening them and running off anyone who actually did challenge him like Edgar, Maeve, or Starlight. What did he think the outcome was gonna be? Edgar even warned him about this last season.
Black Noir was one of the few people he respected, even considered a friend. He probably likes to pretend his bestie never lied to him and he didn't kill him. Can't forget he is mad as a box of frogs with roid rage.
Homelander is such a interesting character. All he wants is to be respected and glorified, however he wants to skip the accountability. Nobody actually listens to Homelander out of respect, but out of fear
@@xxjoebamaxx7782Homelander is as fast as A-Train, all the V in the world wouldn’t help him. Don’t think people understand he’s the big dog for a reason
@@omega-levelnightmares3763 Homelander is much faster than A-train. That bomb rescue feat in season 1 goes way past A-Train's measured speed while he was amped up on V.
While it still would be considered SA it's NOT the same thing. She was not in fear of her life, but Deep was. Secondly, it was not a different orientation. If I was in the same situation as her but told to go down on a chick, I'd tell them to FO and then leave. It would closer the same if it was a huge ugly hag who was on the rag with an infection.
As funny as this was it's also equally disturbing and distressing. I'm genuinely scared for Deep and A-Train. I really hope they get out before it's too late
