Homeless Health Service Somerset 

In Somerset, our Homeless Health Service which includes doctors, nurses and mental health specialists are providing an outreach service offering health care including mental health support, to those living on the streets, in vans, tents and in temporary accommodation.
Peter who is featured in the interview and uses the service says ‘I wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the service’.
Those experiencing homelessness can often struggle to access basic healthcare and on average are expected to only live until their mid-40s.
