To think, if you come from France on a boat, you get a 4**** hotel room, food, access to nhs, money, phone and free bus pass, this poor fella and many more like him, get shunned and scorned at. A lot of our homeless are veterans who have served king/queen and country, yet still they are treated as 3rd class citizens at best.
A heroin addict had never heard of crack? I do find that hard to believe. I hope someone in his family sees him and comes to get him and try get him home. But if I’m honest I think he is holding back the real reason he is not in Nottingham anymore. Shame to see but you can’t help him unless he wants to help himself first 💯
I drive through them lights on my way to and back home from work and it's amazing like ian said some have been there years but some are genuine and some aren't once one of them asked me for some change at the lights i said i never had any but I'd just been to greggs so i gave them that as i pulled off looked in the mirror and saw them just throwing it away
God bless him hope he gets the help he needs and also wants more importantly some don’t want the help but you can tell he’s crying out for it shame man
They don't sleep rough, I've worked and owned a business on Summer Lane for 10 years. They all sleep round the corner in a massive homeless shelter, they also get fed breakfast and dinner there. These boys shoplift, break into cars and so on, it's all for drugs, not food. They don't want the help that is readily there for them.
Made me fuckin cry that did, poor bloke, I don't think there's no way back for him to be honest, 120mg of meth and he's still using??? Give him 2 years max 😢
The person inside really doesn't match the person outside. He's so switched on and determined. To get clean for 10 years he could do it again. Needs to get away from people taking drugs. I think he can do it. When you asked where does he see himself in 5 years just listen to the determination in his voice and face
37 - Ian really is on his arse a warm dry safe bedroom would help him - I doubt he'd need more than a small place to start . Nice Reporting and interview, all the best
Unfortunately most of these people lie he was accommodated but got kicked out. He is right shared accommodation is nightmare because you get addicts, mentally unstable and criminals in one house. This all down to Birmingham bankrupt Council taking these people in. Alot these people aren't allowed back to towns they originally from
@@marcooni03 I believe its Origin was powder buy it could in the spice too now . Someone said its all the dross that's left over , but that was a youtube channel
Nobody put a gun to his head and forced him to waste his life away, been in the same situation myself and got clean , may of relapsed a couple of time's but I totally agree it was all of my own doing, Nobody else to accuse I stand accountable for all my choices and actions.
Sad, sad times. My G for bringing attention to this misunderstood world. People say it's a natural selection. Breaks my heart because there's some good souls. Such a waste.. We need to look after our own. Sad..
Ones you have been homless for a vary long time it can be vary difficult for most long term rough sleepers too get back into a normal life again because for those that have spent years and mouths homless often don't last vary long when they get somewhere offered too them because of what being homless does too a person they often find it hard too get back on there feet like normal people do
Donny needs to come back to Nottingham. I think there’s a lot more help for him there than in brum. Many organizations who will help him with a multitude of different issues
I think the methadone system is flawed. They keep bumping up the dose each time you give a dirty test. Before you know it, you’re on 100ml and if that get’s stopped for some reason. It takes a lot of money to cover that dose with drugs. Never mind the habit on top of the meds.
They don't bump the dose up after a negative test, they will only do that if they ask but its not just increased just lk that,is it fk...120ml is a lot of methadone for anyone,no one needs 120ml..80/90 absolute max..saying that though, being homeless,it will knock em out if they take it all in one go but it's a huge dose that..massive really,I've bn involved for 29 yrs n the most I know is 90ml being prescribed to a lad I know,he doesn't weigh 7 stone aswel
If ur homeless it's not like you have to move house just go and be homeless in Knightsbridge in London or somewhere affluent! There only in brum cuz it's so easy to get drugs
If I was homeless I would find somewhere away from other folks to sleep beg save up some cash and be back working again in a few weeks These people want to live rough and take drugs all the time there's no other reason to be on the streets
Do u really think that the rich will help him? All those toffee nosers are as tight as assholes u got more chance getting help from the common/poor people cause to a certain degree they understand
if someone said il do anything ANYTHING to change there lives, well find out where meetings are, there will be a chair,, for you 100pc, you dont even need to do or say anything, and its free, please ya owe it to yourself, you will not be judged, no mountain to climb, just a chair, and your so so welcome. good luck.
Sorry can't believe living in saint anns n not herd of crack I was going there from Lincoln in 1990,so bit of bull shit there mate , sorry but true, wish you all the best mate I do understand and been there gud luck ✌️❤️😎
Can see in his eyes he got a good heart he just needs help where about is he I want to help him. But if someone does see him just pass him some of ur old trainers or clothes
The most difficult thing that homless people have in there life is not haveing family around that care about them then thats what normally starts off the addictions too drugs and alcohol and crime then a life on and off the streets its normally from not having much love from there perents is were they normally
Ones you get too that point in life as a homless person its vary hard too get out of and thats what most people forget about you never know anyone can end homless you be walking past someone thats homless then next thing you know you live outside on the streets all always remember that because you just never know
Absolute liberty! Poor guy looks 60. Mentally, he's 37, shame on this government. 4 star accommodation for you know who, yet here's the reality of homelessness in the UK. 120ml of methadone, he's got one long road of recovery ahead if he gets help. Took me 20 odd methadone programme's over 26 years to finally get onto this once a month injection of Buvadal. Game changer. 58 I am now, and last 32 years went past in 10.
@Hussain93786 You know who I'm referring to, now don't even try and goad me, as you'll need to pull out a translator at tax payers expense to unravel the mouthful I'll send your way, now you have a nice day and dry your feet, get that Dover sand out from between your toes and out your ears, especially the ears.
Surely if he’s taping the lights and stopping the cars, wouldn’t he get a clout round the ear instead of money? It’s not like he’s doing them a favour 🤷🏼♂️lol
Wow...poor lad...120ml of meth is a lot,no one needs that much,I know through experience,he looks terrible,I'll give him 2/3 yrs max, using on top of 120ml is really dangerous
We have united him back with his family, his sister came down from Nottingham to pick him up. She told us the family lost contact with him years ago and have been trying to find him ever since.
