15 years ago there was a rough $20 per nite cheap hotel just down the road in lemon st, so you could get a hotel job and crash there. It’s closed now, more like $100 per nite. The 6 ft frontage makes those hotels and retail businesses work ok so they can pay tax. Good gov works at both ends, but many places only work for the top end.

Aloha! I used to be homeless in Waikiki! Used to sell my art ,right across from where the lady is been interviewed! That happened almost 6 years ago,and thanks God,I scaped Hawaii,and the 🇺🇸 USA. I don’t know now,but back then,WAIKIKI,was full of homeless like me! I used my artistic talents to sell my paintings but started getting arrested by HPD! one of the sargents stole my little money! I went to jail for not paying my tickets! She’s right about the corruption! The Masons,rule the world! They infiltrated every police department,every office in the land! There is 2 Hawaii: one for the rich & the other for the rest! No wonder,there is a lot of crime happening there now!

She’s been around Waikiki quite a bit and she’s known as an antagonizer her and claims that she is a A picketing person protester against society she’s really way out there the core program has approached her I H S has approached her she’s been offered residence and refuses help she will not let her dogs be taken to a shelter so she can seek shelter and then come back when she’s on her feet to retrieve her dogs that might be understandable ,But I don’t get it .Schizophrenia to the max sorry sad but true

How about you work whatever job you can, save all your money and go where you need to go. Stop making excuses and do it

This lady looks like she can work

No drug addictions, no mental health issues, no federal government money for her, no one helping her. How about she look around and start helping herself. Easy to get a job in Waikiki. That’s step 1 in helping herself. Too expensive to rent an apartment ? Move back to a lower cost mainland state and get a job. Some people need to start helping themselves if they want a change. I suspect she likes to complain but isn’t interested in making a change.

It is odd that a consultant entrepreneur that solves problem with no drug or mental health problem has not been able to solve her homelessness problem in four (4) years?
