Homelike Shaving Colibri/Hummingbird Razor

But you're right, we tried to make shaving not only as effective as possible but also comfortable for people. 1.5 - Very effective (more than Muehle P41), but soft to shave like Game Changer. Another great razor from the Homelike Shaving's manufacturer. As well as the Start, it is very efficient and smooth. But it is also more agile and bit more aggressive for a thicker beard. I really like the shallow but grippy knurling and new packaging, with tape for easy access to the razor. Thoughtfulness in details. Great shave Kevy, I love my Homelike razors, I have the Start and the Taiga adjustable and they are both great razors, just ordered the Colibri with the 1.3 and 1.5 plates, I'm really looking forward to the mail call when she arrives, thanks for the heads up.

Coibri is an excellent razor, definitely one of the best razors in the world. I have the open comb version and it's wonderful: extremely aggressive yet very smooth. Love it.

Clearly the construction of this safety razor is excellent, in video you can see the well-molded details, the engraving on the handle is pleasant it reminds me of that of my Mühle R41, in terms of shaving it was like few others since the first two passes were with the aggressive fit I must add that this is how a BBS shave should be carried out.

I have the Start, and it's ranks high among my favorites, with the .69 and .90 plates. So mild are these however, that I am looking to get the 1.18 plate added to the set. The Colibri looks like another winning shaver.

Hey Kevy! Black Ship Grooming is some underrated soap in my opinion. You don’t see a lot of people using this soap for their SOTD Picts or videos. My favorite is Siren Song. Great scent. Have a great day and wonderful weekend. Great shave. -Josh

You deservedly get the razor makers to send you their creations for xposure in your uploads for you let the viewer have a good look. Hi Kevy, received my Colibri just today. The only downside compared to the Start razor is the blade overhang. Beside that it‘s a superb razor.

Damn! Homelike is going for the jugular of the razor manufacturers. All polished stainless, with four plates, for less than $200.00? That's incredible because with the Rockwell, you wind up only using plates 4 through 6 whereas all four of the Colibri's plate are usable no matter the skill level of the shaver. But I digress. I prefer the Start simply for the zero overhang. But this razor is amazing, and I may consider this as well. Kelly's soaps perform like champs, and what's more remarkable is they have a very limited ingredients list. The Trafalgar is an absolute winner. Well done, mate.

Wow - nice razor! Just checked the Homelike website and it looks like most of the razors are out of stock :( would definitely like to check out one of those Start models or the stainless Baikal, which looks to have been made based on the Rockwell 6s... hopefully they'll come back soon. Very interesting...

Hey Kevy!! Sweet looking razor!!

I ready wanted to like that Simpson's brush as I've always wanted one but for me I just has too much backbone. It borders on uncomfortable the amount of pressure it takes to splay and stay splayed. Paints well though. Now I've grown a beard and only shave my neck I can't really use it at all. Bummer. On a positive, I just picked up a PAA Peregrine which is wonderful and eases my frustration. 🤣

Nice video. How does it compare to the Start? Shave smoother or closer? I have the Start, and for some reason don't use it......have been using more of the RazoRock OC .84 and the Fatip Open Comb Slant (highly recommended)

Great shave. Only the brave can handle an aggressive shave from that blade cap. From a closer look at your face, it was an extremely close shave. I’d happily freak out if it gave me an ultra close shave

How is this razor compared to Karve Kevy? Little Smother or more blade feel like Karve? And is it worth it? Alan H

Hello, Kevy how are you, this is a realy beautiful razor, Russians are making really quality products, I don't know whether this would be available and shipped to INDIA or not otherwise I will definitely purchase it, Sir, there one plastic razor, very economical from Dorco and called Dorco PL-602, I purchased it sometime back and this razor gives incredible shave and is a little bit adjustable also, if you get one then I would request you to review this razor also, sometimes economical razors also give a nice shave, I would like to mention about the Pink Woolf close comb and Pearl tto -95 razors available in INDIA also and these both are very good razors.

For a Russian product, i say the price is pretty steep. And the R41 head is still hard to beat pricewise. I hope that they build a low profile head someday for sensible money. A ss316 R41 with low profile head and long 11cm thin ss316 8mm handle. The thing with ordering from Russia is that all products have a 18 euro VAT and 21 %TAX . So not my choice. Maybe the US market is the Russian choice, since they hardly have to pay vat tax.

I can understand why it is called the Humming Bird, based on the feedback I heard. The device you record with has good audio but I saw that sometimes the camera went out of focus. I have suggestion to make. In some videos, like your last one, the lighting was not good and it just killed the mood to watch the video, it was fine in this one though. So it will be great if you work on the lighting a little. I found your voice over website and I was really impressed. In some of the samples, I could not even recognise your voice and thought that there were two people, until I heard your Scottish accent. I really enjoy your jovial attitude. Ps I really enjoyed the forest shave. I use your post shave facewashing method with the remaining shaving cream.

I'm Russian, and I'm a great fan of Russian products. However, I'm trying to be objective. No doubt this is a great razor that provides excellent shave. But what about the plastic washer?? Does a plastic part belong in a top quality, jewel-level Russian product? I don't think so. Those who don't mind it, go for that.

The plastic washer sucks, but luckily this excellent razor can be perfectly used without it.
