Hello Toni, I think that since there are two pans in the oven, the heat does not circulate evenly. You might try switching them halfway through the baking time. Also, as someone else said, the flat side should be down....curved side up, on the top layer. I, too, love a Victoria Sponge. Just perfect with a cup of tea! 😊 🏠Take care x

🏠 I just love everyone of your videos Toni. I'm going to order the cleaning solution for the garden to neutralise and clean after the pooches have done their business. I've also ordered some of the solar lots that you put in your plant pots. We're off to Tenerife this week and I'm having a big shed/workroom delivered when I get back, to put all my crafting items in. I love floristry and make wreaths, arrangements, flower pots and hanging baskets etc. etc., out of artificial flowers. I also crochet and knit. I used to sew, make curtains, dress making, alterations etc., but my Rheumatoid and Osteoarthritis is very bad now, I can't do big things, but smaller projects is not too bad. Hiya Toni, I can’t wait to see the garden finished. I have a bacon weight I put on top of my toasties while they cook, it just makes the toastie so crispy and evenly brown. I make my own sourdough bread for them too. I’m so pleased to see you baking, each one is getting better, well done. If I’m decorating the top of the cake I will have it flat side up so it’s a nice flat surface, but if not and dusting with sugar I have it round side up. My tip to get even sponge is to just drop the pans on the kitchen top to knock them flat, once will do do over do it 😂 it will still rise don’t worry, another tip is know your weight of mixture and put the pans on the scales so you get the same amount in both. 🏠🌺🌺🌺

Toni I have no tear ducts so my eyes stream constantly. I always use beauty pie the perfect water mascara. I take it off with Nivea double effect waterproof eye make up remover.

Oh wow you're living room is lovely! The angle from the start of the video shows the warm tones and luxurious materiality if the floors and curtains. And the greenery makes it so lively. The angle you usually show (taken from the kitchen) only really shows black and white so I had the impression the space was a lot more stark. Anyway lovely job!

Hi Toni Cake 🍰 look fab regardless! But think air can not circulate! What I do is one on one rack one underneath with my fan oven makes no difference to how they cook! They come out looking the same shape/rise! Just in case you’ve never done this my mum put a doily on the top shook icing sugar over the top it looked beautiful 🤩 like lace so pretty! Just another dec you might like! …,,Birds sound amazing in the garden such a great house you have there! Love your vlogs! 🥰🏡xx

I put a paper doily on the top of the cake then sprinkle icing sugar on it makes a pattern

I love your vlogs. The dome on the cake should be on the top, have you tried using buttercream in your cake rather than double cream, it's easier to level it up. Is your oven level, sometimes if it's a bit out it can affect the rise of cake.
