@@GrandmaFeralHypothetical: If your daughter was growing up with me in Brooklyn we would knock on your door when we knew she wasn't home. Of course the ulterior motive was to get something to eat.😃😆😊
@@GrandmaFeral OM goodness looks so delicious. I will try this one for sure. I love good food and deserts!! NOW I FEEL LIKE GOING TO LANCASTER AND BUY OUT THE AMISH PIES AND CAKES! YUM.....xo
"How does it taste, Grandpa?" "Good. Nice and warm." Videos like this make me miss my grandparents so much. But they also give me hope that their wisdom lives on like yours will. Thank you! 💕💕💕
Funny you should mention Grandma Feral's bowls: I recall using identical bowls in my late mother's kitchen, and was momentarily transported in a wave of nostalgia back to helping my mother cook holiday meals and specialties, back in the day...I suppose a warm Italian-American kitchen filled with love and good food will always move my spirit.
These bowls were a shower gift when I was getting married. Some of the cooking pots we use were a gift from my Parents when we got engaged. All are still in great shape. Hope you try the recipe easy and good with cool whip also☺
Yum♥️ looking to make this today! I love your recipes, Grandma! My dad is Italian, 90 yrs old and never eats meat so your recipes are good for me to make! My mom was German, but the priest I work for is Polish and many of the parishioners are too! We make haluski for our Harvest Fest every year. Thanks for your videos! Have a blessed day!
Dear Grandma Feral I would love to see more of your recipes. They are great. I am going to make the apple brownies this week. They would also be great as a dessert for christmas.
Yes the Apple Brownie would be a great dessert even for Thanksgiving in place of an Apple Pie☺ More recipes to come. Glad you will try this one. Enjoy!
Ok.... anyone else watch this more than once because you started weeping when she took it out the oven and your stomach growled???? Oh mannnnnn. Then... she had to go and end it by cooking a second one... WITH RAISINS!!!! I...WANT!!!!!!
THis is very good! I got the recipe from my daughter in laws grandmother who was a sweet lady whom we lost 10 years ago at the age of 97. She called it Knobby Apple cake though and I still make it occasionally ! Thanks for sharing this with everyone, its delicious!
This looks delightful, and so easy to make -- tell me: in your experience, which type(s) of apples would be best to use for this dessert? Thank you so much for sharing this mouth-watering recipe, dear Grandma Feral; may your wrist continue to improve with the PT and your days be full of good food, good friends, and all-around joy, with all best to your youthful feline visitors, Buddy & Olive.
The Macoun Apples are the best for this dessert. I hope you will make this easy and delicious recipe☺ Thank you for all your lovely wishes☺ Buddy and Olive come visiting twice a day. I still don't know if they belong to someone in the neighborhood or if some cruel person left them on the side of the road.
@@GrandmaFeral OH! I didn't mean to give away your secret. I just assumed he would have noticed your cleats in the mudroom!! 😂 Hope you have a fantastic weekend! 💜💛❤️
I made these tonight. Wow. Fantastic recipe. I made it the first way, with just the sugar. I ate half the pan lol Thank you so much for posting the recipe.
Glad to hear you made the recipe. I just bought some apples so I am making the Apple Brownies today. We will be lucky if it last two days. Thank you for watching👩
Aww, thank you Grandma Feral for sharing this recipe and video!! Looks so delicious. Apples and cinnamon are two of my favorite fall flavors. Grandpa Feral and Lady LF are so lucky!! 😊💙💙
I just love watching your videos and especially making your recipes! You take me back to wonderful times and memories of my grandma and great grandma they both made the same ones as you, I always looked forward to spending time together, nothing better than the love, comfort and warmth at grandmas house! Bless you and Grandma too, please stay well! Xx
I just happen to have four apples. With this coronavirus going on it will probably be the last apples I have for a long time. So I decided to try this and it’s in the oven right now. I know it’s going to be wonderful I don’t even have to taste it to know that.Because it might be my last apples I did not peel them.
Yes this turned out very well. I had to taste it when it came out of the oven. I did add a little bit of salt to it before mixing it up. Now that I tasted it with the raisins I think some walnuts would be good in there also. Nice and easy recipe. Thank you
I just made this and it turned out amazing! I actually went with the first recipe (one cup of sugar) because I have a sweet tooth. Thank you so much for the recipe 🍏🍎💛
Are the apples you use sweet, tart or a combination ? Where are you located ? I live in Wyoming so more description is better. Can less sugar be used or can I substitute with other sweeteners ? Thanks for the written out recipe so helpful, as I'm fairly old school that way.
You can use whatever apples you like. I live in New York. You can adjust the sugar to however you like the sweetness. Thanks for watching and Stay Well👩
What type of apples did you use? I find that green apples are more tart and work well with sugar. Have you ever tried using brown sugar instead of white sugar? I think that would give it more flavor.
Thanks for the recipe :-) I reminds me rice with apples and cinnamon, which in the past was served to kids in Poland. Nice to be young again :-) I thing I will use your recipe this weekend instead of Saint Martins croissants en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Martin%27s_Day#Poland My friends will be surprised :-) I see you use both hands so I guess your wrist is better now. Good! Thank you very much for the recipe! Have a nice day!
Glad you will try the recipe. It is very good! I grew up on Rice and milk especially on Fridays when we did not eat meat. My wrist is better but still going to Therapy. Have a great day☺
Searched RU-vid for a good easy recipe and finally found this video! Thank you. Absolutely delicious! I made a few adjustments and came out so so so good. I made this for my parents and they loved it. I’m more of a chocolate fan but I even loved it. The adjustments I made: - 1/4 cup of nonfat plain greek yogurt instead of butter. It didn’t affect the taste but it’s a healthier option when baking. - Cranberries instead of raisins since this is what I had on hand - 1/2 cup of light brown sugar instead of white sugar. - I did use 5 medium sized apples. I wanted to use up what I had and was worried it might be too much but it wasn’t. - Mine needed 30 mins of baking time so make sure to watch it. - Once it was done baking, I sprinkled crushed walnuts and powdered sugar on top just cause :) Will definitely make again in the future! 😋
Thank you for sharing how you made the recipe. I definitely will try next time I make it as I like all the ingredients you used. Thank you so much for watching👩🏻
When I first made the recipe I used I cup sugar. I made it again and used 1/2 cup sugar and added 1/2 cup raisins to the recipe. They were both delicious so it is up to you which one you decide to make. Enjoy❤️Grandma👩🏻
Looks good, but I would make homemade cream to put on top. Heavy whipping cream & add powdered sugar & beat with hand mixer. You would never return to canned whip cream or ‘cool whip’ container stuff.
Just made this, so good. I didn’t have enough ingredients to make homemade whipped topping. But it was so good without it!! Thank you for sharing your recipe.
