Hope you enjoy our apple juice day at our neighbors place! It was amazing to participate in producing apple juice and the taste was amazing I wish everyone could try it but then we would need to step up the amount a bit hahah!

Hey to everyone!!
We are two young adults, Despina 22 and Deivids 23 renovating an old farm house from 1817 in Latvia. Everything in and out of our house has been done by ourselves with no hired help. Soooo far everything is going great and there haven't been any incidents.
DIY is going to apply to nearly everything in our house. Our budget is tight and that has made us appreciate every "ugly" part of this house and turn it into something new and beautiful.
We give new life to things that others would throw away!
In this journey we are not alone! We are starting up our little Farmily and part of it are
3 Goats & 2 Baby Goats
1 Mom Sheep & 2 Baby Sheep
4 chickens
1 Rooster
and 1 Goose
Oh yeah and my cat Ivi
Despite our daily problems we are two young people full of joy and happiness, ready to start a new crazy chapter in our life. It wouldn't be fair to keep this fun for us!
that's why we want YOU to be also part of our Farmily!!

Neighbourly harmony … so good to see reciprocal help and giving of produce … isn’t this the way it’s supposed to be ? I see a lot of comments about lovely memories of childhood days … pity kids of today won’t have such memories to look back on , some may never see the countryside or know that apple juice actually comes from apples that grow on actual trees ! 🙏☘️😘

This is really great to see, in this age of waste. Everything that grows on your doorstep gets harvested, nothing is thrown away. I love to see that there is still people using traditional methods, Fantastic !! ...🙂👍

I just love apple cider and apple juice . We would do that with my mother and father in law . Then use the other apples to make jelly , jams, cakes, candy, and pies . The work was never done till all the apples were gone . It was fun working together as a team to get it done .

That reminded me how we used to make apple juice in my granny's village in autumn too and drink it directly from the juicer like your neighbors' kids did in the video :)

You are so lucky to have neighbors that love you almost as much as their own children, caring for you as their own children, I too have a very good neighbor, we care and look after each other, I'm so grateful to have her and she of me. Your neighbors can and have tort you so much on how to survive on your farm, listen and watch everything you can from them, they are your way to success. Xx

That's fun. Brought back may younger memories for me. That's many decades ago. I recall making the juice with an old wooden press. Love the fall. Crisp outdoor smells. The little ones enjoyed the cider. Cya next time.

A friend rented out and shared his house with us for two month. It was in a well to do area where a lot of rich people were living. I tried to be friendly with the neighbors but they would not have anything to do with us, none of them. They would not say hi, they would not let our dogs play with their dogs even though they all had dogs and would let them play together in front of our house, they would not talk or look at us and it made me so lonely and sad. That was in Vancouver, Canada. I love it when neighbors are friends. That is how my parents were with our neighbors in Germany. They were all friend and it was so awesome. Now we moved to a different part of Vancouver and the neighbors say hi and smile, but that is about it.

Despina I truly loved this vlog. I enjoyed seeing all the home made tools. I bet they all have a story behind them who made the baskets, press, wheel barrels, the metal large tub. Could you please tell us the first names of your neighbors and their children, grandsons. You can maybe do the video again with a voice over maybe include what meat was cooked, who was in charge of cooking. All the clean up of tools and where they store all the tools. I encourage you to try to sell this film or enter it in an film festival. Loved Deivids speaking his thank you. Keep on keeping on. Love from your biggest fan. Pick and apple from the tree and enjoy for me. I wanted so much to pick that delicious apple and take a bite. Thank you for sharing.

Lovely to see you both making/helping etc with your lovely neighbours, all of those apples turned in to juice....hope you manage to make some cider, mulled cider in winter is lovely, i prefer it to mulled wine, you guys might like it☺ Is there something we can do for your neighbours....they are so lovely to you, don't know maybe just extra donations and you can get them something? When I make and can apple sauce I save the scraps of the apples to make apple cider vinegar. Do they save some of that for apple cider vinegar? It's expensive here in the state's so we make our own. Thanks for sharing I miss this from when I was a kid. Learn all you can from your neighbors. Very nice of them to share their knowledge and life with you all. Neighbors helping neighbors. That's the way it used to be when I was a kid in the country. You don't see too much of that in the city Soo much.

You guys live in a wonderful community to share in an abundance of apples! I would have loved to have someone to come and help harvest my garden to share with them,I had tons of blueberries,tomatoes cucumbers and beans canned. I sell my blueberries to a local winery. ❤️
