This is my Homemade ELCB(Earth Leakage Circuit Breaker) Trip Tester.
Each of the five buttons generates 10mA leakage current .
Neon Lamp A lit on : Line - Earth OK (Test available)
Neon Lamp B lit on : Line - Earth Reversed (Test available)
Both Neon Lamp lit on : Test Not available(Earth line is not connected or single phase three wire power system)

Here in the UK, when we test RCDs we also need to know they disconnect within a certain time, so while your box will show they work you don't know how many milliseconds it takes to disconnect. We also need to do 2 tests one at 0 degrees and one at 180 degrees of the AC wave

GFCI we call them here in the USA (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) might add to your title!

안녕하세요? 검색하다가 블로그를 발견하고 유튜브 채널까지 알게되었습니다. 블로그 및 유튜브 동영상을 보고 저도 만들어보고 싶어서 문의드립니다. 회로도를 보고 만들려고 하는데 재료로 쓰인 네온램프,다이오드,LED의 규격(spec)이 어떻게 되는지 궁금합니다. 동영상 초반에 주의문구도 있고, 전기초보라 최대한 주의하고 확인해가면서 해보려고 합니다. 감사합니다.

js Hwang 네온램프는 멀티탭의 스위치에 들어있던 것입니다. 직렬저항에 따라 전류가 결정되므로 사양은 크게 중요하지 않습니다. 다이오드는 1n4007 을 사용하였고 LED 는 20mA 짜리 청색 led 를 사용했습니다. 네온램프와 led 는 표시등 역할이며 없어도 동작 가능합니다.

I guess the bulb is connected to earth and not neutral so thats considered leakage current too

How if I wish 1 button 5ma? Should I choose lower resistor?

@@ThomasKim 1.Can I exclude the Neon Lamp B? Because i‘m UK Plug it doesn't reverse the Line & Neutral.Just remain 1 lamp as power indicator. 2. I've an idea can this project's button change to Potentiometer function? it can increase leakage without pressing multiple button.

amcor venture 1. Of course, 2. It is possible. However, a capacity of 10W or more is required, and there is a risk of damage to the resistor when the circuit breaker is defective.

@@ThomasKim Can u draw me a diagram of Potentiometer function? 0ma-300ma is enough. I‘m novice of this.It’s awesome if it can be done, and I can save much spend of RCCD tester,its much expensive.
