No todos los tipos de aserrín se pueden convertir en gránulos. Son necesarias combinaciones de serrín como abeto con haya o roble con otros tipos de serrín. Para que los gránulos formen el molde, se deben pulir muy bien. Se debe realizar un rodaje con material abrasivo.
