Beautiful! FYI... The loop end of the string is intended to go around the yoyo's axle so that the yoyo can spin for a few seconds at the full extension, then return to your hand with a slight tug on the string.

@@SawdustSolutionswithBuck You are most welcome. Your project brought back 70-year-old memories from my grade school days when spinner yoyos were an "in thing." With the ability to spin the yoyo (briefly) at its full extension, we could "do tricks" with them such as "walk the dog" and "rock the baby in the cradle" and then, with a slight tug on the string, cause the yoyo to catch the string and return to our hands.

Are those the same as Spectraply pen blank material? I have a bunch of that and this would be a good way to use some up. Thanks for the idea!

Hey there! Thanks for checking out the video! Yes, the material I used is similar to Spectraply pen blank material. It's a great way to put those Spectraply blanks to good use. I love the vibrant colors and patterns it adds to the project. Give it a try, and feel free to share your results!

Yes, more toys. Tops would be fun. I have my first great-grandchild now, just over 1, I'm working on a dinosaur T-Rex from David Wakefield's wonderful book Animated Animal Toys in Wood. What fun. I built my wife a new home that contains her quilting studio and my wood shop. I was 70 when I started it and 75 when we moved in. That was an adventure.
