Hi! Can you please share with me how long do they last? Do they mold or something over time?? I've been thinking on doing some for sale, but first I'm doing some research. Thank U!
Just catching up on some older videos! I love this idea!!! I have smaller spaces that I don’t like to burn candles and not have electricity available in so this is a great alternative too
Update 1 week on. I made the citrus bliss which was quite mild and I also made the sugar and spice one, ( quite strong) omitting clove for cinnamon and oddly smells a bit like cola. Then bizzarly while reading the complete book of essential oils last night I read that the original coca cola recipe contained orange, lemon, nutmeg, cinnamon, coriander and neroli essential oils. I also used vegtable gelatine and only drilled 3 holes. Thanks once again
That's awesome! I usually do diffusers but wanted to try something different. These are pretty fun and I am definitely thinking stocking stuffers with these!
Perfect gift idea for my coworkers this year! I work with one year olds, so we’re always looking for ways to make the room smell better. Especially on the bad diaper days 😬😬😬😂
lol I was looking for something to use and your video was the best... and might I point out, the easiest to follow... I added extra gelatine to fix the problem of melting fast in the hot weather... works a treat, thanks :-)
Wondering about put a white disc on top of the jar to keep the contents from not dripping out while transporting. I found lids at dollar store that already have holes in them but am concerned about making a basket full of goodies and that dripping out on to the fabric. any thoughts on what those white discs are called or where to purchase?
We need this!!! I am so sensitive to fragrances and only oils as I pretty ok with. Yay I’m so excited. Also where do I buy the essential oils you use. Haha I wrote all this before clicking the description
No problem!! Check out my link and if you are interested I have a pretty sweet deal going on right now. It is all on the link: shopoils.com/laura-ascher/
Hi, thanks for this recipe! Definitely going to try this for my home and my car.. im just curious, which one will last long? This gel type or the one with carrier oil?
Could I use something else instead of the gelatin to make it a suitable gift for a Vegan friend? .... I love your videos they're so informative and inspiring thanks ❤️
Greetings from the UK and thank you very much for this. When you say it will last a couple of weeks scent wise, do you mean with the top with holes punched on all the time? Im thinking to use 2 lids one without holes and then put the one with holes on sparingly. Also would occasionally shaking the jar help get a stronger scent once it begins fading ?
You're welcome! Thanks for following along with me!! Yes I mean with the vented lid. You can add essential oils to the top whenever the scent starts to fade if you want to make it last longer.
Hello ma'am, can you please give an estimate on how long the scent would last? Also do I need to place a table top fan next to the Diy freshener to diffuse the scent even more or does it diffuse by itself? Thanks in advance.
What great idea....just wondering how long the scent lasts...? How strong in terms of drops of essential oils and size of room (I am in a small apartment )😉
You're welcome! I have ones that I made a little over a week ago and they are still smelling pretty strong. The smell will fade after a few weeks. You can add a couple drops of essential oil to the top whenever it starts to lose the smell to make it last a little longer.
I made these for the first time today. My plans are to put one in my car and then a few other places. If using the fabric on top, do you still need the jar lid with the holes in it or just the ring holding the fabric down? Also, if I want to make these a head of time for gifts, how long will they store with the lids on and no holes? How long does the small mason jar usually last people?
If you do the fabric on top you can skip the lid! They last for several weeks and then you can just add drops of essential oils back on top when needed.
They last for a couple weeks, scent wise, but the gel air fresheners will hold up much longer. When they start to lose scent you can add a few drops on the top to make them smell stronger again!
I liked the tutorial but it did not turn out well. I had to refrigerate it and then when they came out it had bad gel setting at room temp. I was going to use these as gifts. I'm very disappointed.
