I made this tonight for Valentine’s Day and I got to say It is a fantastic recipe. Super easy to replicate. I used six small tails instead of two large tails. I added a tiny bit of tarragon but beyond that everything was the exact same. Thank you for posting this awesome recipe!
You didn't put too much tomato paste in and you actually had big chunks of lobster in your "lobster bisque" lol - imagine that ;-) So many restaurants put little to no lobster meat in and way too much tomato paste. If we wanted tomato soup - that's what we would have ordered :) It should be orange and have a good balance between the bisque flavor, the creaminess, tomato and lobster. I bet your version tastes mighty good and make me want to follow your recipe myself. Also - your video production skills are equally as good as your culinary skills. Very nicely done! Can you do a cold, lobster roll video too? That would be excellent. Mmmm lobster roll...
I had lobster bisque one time at a restaurant. It was all sauce unflavored and a small piece of lobster. Once she dropped the bouillon and butter I know this is going to be fantastic!!!
OMGawd!!!!!!!!! THAT LOOK SOooooo YUMMY. I PAY $17 DOLLARS AT RED LOBSTER FOR THIS, AND THEY USE TO SERVE BIG CHUNKS PCS. OF LOBSTER WITH IT. NOW THEY DONT CAUSE THEY SAY ITS TO EXPENSIVE. NOW THEY USE GROUND LOBSTER, U CAN BARELY TASTE IT, SO IM GOING TO MAKE IT MYSELF, INSTEAD OF WASTING MONEY ON RED LOSTER "CRUMBS" FOR LOBSTER MEAT. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, LOVE LUV LOVE LOBSTER.
It's expensive but check out 'LobsterAnywhere'. You can order pretty much whatever you want as far as size, live or frozen, cooked or not cooked.... Of course there's the shipping etc.. But ya couldn't ask for any better mud bug. I just splurged and ordered myself a 25.5 oz. Maine lobster tail to celebrate my 71'st birthday. It ran me $90.95 including shipping. It came packed in dry ice delivered by Fed Ex and was absolutely delicious. Please do your research (cold water versus warm, summer versus winter etc..) and know what you're paying for and getting. I highly recommend LobsterAnywhere. Their product is superior and customer service par excellence and next to none. Have fun cracking.
This did not make sense. My wife and I worked on an amazing New England-style bisque recipe for years and it took a good 4 hours from start to finish when you’re working with live 1.5-2.0 lb lobsters to begin with.
@@joerepoman1 I'm not familiar with lobster bisque. Only ever tasted it once, and it was a bite of my sister's at a restaurant in Maine. Don't remember the taste of it. Celery and carrots being in bisque seems very popular from the recipes I've seen, though.
