In today's video we get a wild hair and do a homemade muffler delete on the 2024 f150 while we wait on our exhaust parts to show up. Turned out sounding really good! DECALS - lmfscrew.bigcartel.com
I used to run true duals on all my rigs but rumble and tone are more important to me having a family now. Time for a nice free flowing muffler setup, no muffler deletes or true duals.
SOUNDS AWESOME, i would leave it as is. I did a similar thing on my honda civic. Paid over 400 for a loud ass muffler that sounded almost exactly as deleted muffler SO i returned it and just did a fancy tip like you and sounded great. maybe not ideal at cold startup 6 am before work if you like your beighbors but whatever,
Weld a raptor trombone section onto the passenger exhaust side to make it equal length, h pipe, true dual, closest exhaust to a mustang sounding exhaust
Dude, skip the plastic or hairy cardboard fender liners that will just trap mud and moisture behind them causing rust and just roll on some bed liner material in your rear fender wells.
Dude, i’m not sure how often you are on tiktok but you should get there and get one of those small welding machines. I am sure you’d get a lot of use out of it. Be cool to see you start doing your own exhaust work. Maybe even some custom fab stuff later on 👀
It's not going to be super loud at idle unless the resonator and catalytic convertors are removed.Stock Cats and resonators are a restriction in the exhaust which will reduce flow and sound as much as a muffler if not more.
@@tylerhubbell6410 yea I know all that my first truck when was a 98 chevy Z-71 I had no mufflers and no cats just one pipe out of one manifold straight back and another pipe, coming out the other manifold straight back no Y pipes. I just thought the F-150 would be a little louder was all. Hey answer me this I blew up my 5.7 L hemi motor in my Dodge truck. I had a new motor put in it that was used but had about 60,000 miles less and my cold start. My pipes are not as loud and my pipes are just not as loud over all either. what the hell would cause that. It’s the same motor just one with 60,000 miles less and my exhaust is the exactly the same way it was before. So why is my truck not as loud as it used to be? Truly can’t figure this one out it makes no sense. I am getting ready to cut the cats off to make it louder. My exhaust was perfectly loud. Not too loud but loud enough for people to say damn what you got under the hood of that truck. I put the other motor in it and now it’s just not loud enough and I do not like it. Any thoughts our suggestions?
Hey quick question. You know that “hook” that you had to bend up and out of the way in order to slide the muffler back out of the slip joint , are we sure that wasn’t a “twist” lock type of deal? Ok maybe you didn’t have the room to rotate that whole assembly at first but seeing as you ended up having to take the weight off the rear suspension to make room to remove the tailpipe/muffler assembly whole, then I suspect their might have been enough room to rotate it up and slide it back free. See if you think about what that short far pin thing was doing it makes sense and pretty trick if you ask me. It do double duty by locating the slip joint depth of overlap and keeps the the muffler and tailpipe from twisting over time or from some drunk guy doing an exhaustion tip test. “Where they stand on the tailpipe with one foot while holding onto the bedside to see if it passes” if it does pass some will even bounce up and down a couple of times for extra points. 😂 many times this exercise is conducted without the owners knowledge or consent! 😂 Yes I’ll take “reasons to leave the bar before last call for $500 please” What is the tailpipe test? Correct!
I will say for that v8 if you do long tubes, equal length x pipe trans am style like what Craig909 did with his f100 it would sound amazing. Also the reason it’s quiet is probably fords cats, never flow well and never will sadly.
I know you are going to put the Whipple charger on the F-150. Are you going to lift it and put some 35in or 37in tires on it? Or will you end up lowering it and have some kind of radical slicks? Maybe a wait a see thing though 😂lol
