WOW!! Today is 1/25/22..made these pop tarts 1/23/22..since watching this video i have been obsessed with making pop tarts and so I did because my daughter & husband were having dinner with us and my son-in-law always likes dessert!! No problem because i love to bake..so i made the pop tarts..they turned out exactly like Sams right down to the icing and sprinkles!! The only variation..I used canned strawberries.. So after dinner when my son-in-law was wondering about dessert, i brought out the pop tarts..and what a hit. My son-in-law, altho quite full from dinner, had 2, and there were extras to take home!! They looked awesome and tasted even better..thank you for sharing this great recipe
I made these last week and I’ve been so obsessed! I’m typing this as my dough is chilling. I usually don’t like pie crust but your recipe is amazing! I can’t get enough 😅
I love your channel. They are all so easy to follow and your directions so clear. You get right to the point and I love that because I can pause the video when needed and get right to baking alongside you. Great idea shaping the dough right on the plastic that you'll be chilling it in. These will be fun to make and will surely bring back some childhood memories. Thank you for sharing.

@@speedboy6776 it's not processed. No hydrogenated oils, no high fructose corn syrup. Fresh strawberries. Real butter in the crust. Real whole food ingredients makes it healthier. It's still a treat but much healthier than store bought.
Was curious, could I use freeze dried strawberries instead of fresh? I realize I will have to rehydrate them. Thanks for your feedback. Thanks for sharing.
Watching you I've decided that before I spend the money on a $400 stand mixer, I should get a hand mixer. I searched your channel and didn't see anything. What would you recommend for an average person? Thanks!
What are the storage recommendations? Can they be frozen? At what stage: can they be stored after filling, raw? Or better after baking? Or both? Neither?!
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2-3 days. Homemade pop tarts may also be frozen for several months. It's best to freeze them after baking. :)
I love your channel recipies , your cute as a bug however could you please use grams instead of cups. Cups have way to much error. I made this exactly as shown yet I had to add three tbsp of water to even get the crust to form . Same on your amazing ginger snaps best recipie ever just had to tweek it as we don't know how you measure YOUR cups . Luv ya keep cooking.
Hi Timothy! I am so glad you have been enjoying the recipes! I completely agree with you about using weights instead, all of my recipes are tested with weights and you can find all of the weight measurements in the description or, if you are over on the blog, they are right there in the recipe card. I speak about using cups when I am filming because we have a largely American audience that primarily uses cups. I really hope this is helpful and again, thank you for watching!
If you do not have one, you can instead use a pastry cutter to cut the butter into the flour mixture and then stir in the sour cream by hand! The mixture will be dry so this will require more effort.
You could swap my puff pastry for the crust here and it would turn out like a toaster strudel! Here's the video for that: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qCIWNLBiAD0.html
