Homemade Wood STOVE From TRUCK Rims !? 

Growing up in a community of steel workers, I miss the time when I was a kid and watching grown-ups making things with lathe centers, saw chains etc. It's a video that inspires the passion that I've got since I was young. Well done, this looks like a great stove that should keep you warm and cozy all winter! I like the welded chain handles and your tile floor turned out nice. I think adding some metal trim around the outside edges would clean it up and protect the tile edges from bumps and chipping over time. Super odrađen posao. Jednu pec radio si pre 4 godina koja nije bila losa ali vidjelo se, da si mlad i trebas jos iskustva o nekim stvarima. Ali sada sa ovom si dokazao, da si se zaista u tih godina naucio puno puno i zaista je lepo vidjeti sto sada sve uradis. Jos se sjecam pre par godina kada sam te poceo pratiti kakve projekte si radio a kakve radis sada. I kakvu radionicu si imao, a kakvu imas sada. Ne pratim te redovno ali kad bar mozem odusevljen sam, kako ljepo "rastes" u odlicnog stručkota, majstora i RU-vidra. Veliki pozdrav iz Slovenije.

Jako dobro si to napravio, svaka čast što se toliko trudiš i snimaš.

I didn't see you do this in your video...but did you weld close the valve stem holes in each wheel..🤔 I'm just assuming you did..😉 Also, no dampers on the lower door , or in the stove pipe stack...to control the burn rate...🤔 With that said...very nice stove project! 👍

I hope you do not mind that I will be stealing from you some of your ideas on the wood stove. The truck rims I am in the process of getting right now. The exhaust pipe really looks cool for sure. Good day fella.

This is quite impressive. I may have made some changes. Yet really cool. I am thinking of having a a couple custom stoves made that are very narrow and very tall. Something along this size. 18 inches wide 26 inches long 60 inches tall with the flu going out the top. There are 2 doors. One door to load firewood and one to collect the ash. The shaker grate can be pulled from this bottom door and a deflection plate in the upper chamber. This will give the box about 12 inches by 20 inches by 36 inches when accounting for metal thickness and 2.5 inches of fire bricks. Then a fresh air intake out the side as I want this right next to a wall by the back door. The fresh air intake will have locations on 3 sides which are fitted with gaskets and bolts with welded nuts on the back side. Large nuts 1/2 inch in size as the bigger the nuts the less likely they get fire damaged. The doors must also be swapable. The flue must be directly in the center at the top as well. I want something that is not in the way, does not stick out far and does not take up a lot of space. I might even consider 8 inches of box widith to make it more narrow. As long as you can fit in maybe 3 cubic feet of wood in the fire box that should be quite good and firewood from about 16 to 18 inches long. The taller the stove the better. I really do not see a need for a fan as I have had those pipe fans and they just do not last long and burn out over time. Those ones that run off of heat are quite good. and are super cheap these days that you can put several on the stove. It fthe stove is 6 feet tall then 2 fire wood loading doors is needed. That way you can fill it super full for late night burning and that middle door would have to have a small glass sight in it to make sure the wood is no piled up against the door. That is the kind of wood stove that I want. I have a fab guy local that should be able to build them how I want.
