Exploring the Homer area in Alaska from July 9th to 12th, 2022. Admiring the views along the Sterling Highway on our drive from Soldotna to Homer on the Kenai Peninsula. Camping in Mariner Park Campground on the Homer Spit, with views of Kachemak Bay. Shopping at Homer’s Farmer’s Market. Walking the Homer Spit Trail to the End of the Road Park, being entertained by two bald eagles hanging out on the beach. Savoring lunch at Captain Patties Fish House. Being refreshed by Carmen’s Gelato. Checking out the displays and movie inside the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center. Hiking the Beluga Slough Trail and the Calvin & Coyle Trail. Watching planes land in Beluga Lake from the Beluga Wetlands Overlook.
