This Think Well Homeschool is an invaluable resource that I had never heard of, and not just for math. Spent the last 30-45 min looking on the website. They have electives for Highschool like Public speaking, Second Language through Rosetta Stone Homeschool edition, Government and Economics, and more. Very impressed by it so far. 3 of my 4 kids love math and numbers. We are currently using Saxon and CLE, but in the future if those do not work I will definitely be looking into this! Thanks for this video and all the great information you have shared! Although I have one going into high school next year we are only on year 3 homeschooling. Your channel along with others has been a life saver for me!❤

So glad it was helpful!! I feel like thinkwell was great for my teen sons math! I will say I am not sure of their Worldview, so definitely do a free trial if looking into those other subjects 😉 Exciting times to have your first going into high school❤️🙏

I really enjoy your videos, and this elementary/middle school/high school series has been very helpful. Your point of view as a seasoned homeschool mom has helped me narrow down curriculum choices for my kids, so I thank you!

My 8th grader is doing well with MUS but I am unsure of high school Math. MUS has updated their Algebra 1 and has the “original” as well. I am unsure of which to choice because it’s not much info on either. I am also considering rotating IEW and Writeshop for him as well. We just finished a movie literature guide from 7sisters and loved it. We are definitely adding in movies as literature into our English credit. I am planing to use Science 101 series because science is my least favorite to teach. As always thanks for sharing ❤.

You sound like you have a great plan.🤗 I didn’t realize they updated Algebra, is it just the books? I notice they had updated books but the old DVDs always worked.

@@learningwithboys7431 I believe it’s the videos as well.

@@fab5bailey369 🤔 I will have to decide in a couple years but since I am familiar with older version I see myself staying with it🤷🏻‍♀️

Thank you for sharing. I have been thinking about what my daughter needs to complete to fulfill our state's requirements as well as what she is interested in studying. She is interested in teaching. We have used Notgrass History and enjoy it. It helps to print off the assignment guide after purchasing the books to help stay on track.

Awesome video series. We use Memoria Press as our core . We use Sonlight as well because we love books so I align the literature with our Memoria Press. Shorman Math for my high schooler. Singapore and Saxon Math prior to PreAlgebra. We crisscross with Classical Academic Press grammar and writing as well and fix it grammar, IEW. 🌸

I love your videos! We seem to have a lot of the same eclectic taste in curriculum. Approximately how long does HOD WG take each day with the World Religion study included? My son loves traditional style history bc he can complete a lesson quickly, but I'm trying to convince him to go back to living books because they are SO much better! I started the book in HOD WH about the history of the English language, and it's fascinating! I think if I can get him on board if we don't do the living library and if the work with the spines is under 45 minutes. I just love how HOD makes WG more based on historical events and includes a study of world religions. It's so unique compared to all the other WG studies, which look like they could get pretty monotonous.

Thank you!!! I am assuming you are asking about the History and World Religion only?? Keep in mind it a 4 day a week, and it will look different everyday. I know you can look at the first week. I would say for both 45min to 1 1/2 hour🤔 ?

I would love to hear what you plan to do in the fall ince you have a WG credit and a US History credit under your belt.

This year he is doing the US2 but only the reading through the spines and I will count it as 1/2 credit of either history or an elective 😉

Thank you so much for putting in your time, thought, and heart into these videos- they are so helpful and a big blessing to many of us homeschool moms, especially those going into specific level for the first time. I have a couple questions if I could ask please. First of all, you mentioned a couple times that a specific history subject "was required for your student" , or "was not required". How do you know exactly what's required? Are there specific state requirements for history and science for homeschool high school students? Or are you referring to preparation for a specific college program, or something else? Just wondering if I'm missing something. And one more question, have you had any experience with Teaching Textbooks for math? Any thoughts on it? Thank you so much in advance. God bless you and your family richly and all of your homeschool endeavors 🩷🙏🏻

Thank you so much for the encouraging words. Yes in our state we have to be under some form of a homeschool umbrella which has high School requirements. But most states do have some type of requirements. So these are highschool requirements not college. One of my boys who struggles with math tried Teaching Textbooks. It was not a good fit for him. It was for there algebra. My next did not even want to try because he did not like the way it looked. Honestly I was really hoping it would help my one that struggled🤷🏻‍♀️ Hope these answered your questions😉

Denison has been a God-send in our home. It's the perfect mix of online and pen/paper. It's high school math for non-mathy kids. You may want to check it out.

What was the name of the first book you recommended? Not the grammar section, the first book on homeschooling high school.

probably the Books from Lee Binz. They are on Amazon and her site www.homehighschoolhelp.com/lee-books/delight-directed-learning-detail
