You are a joy to watch... genuine and down to earth. God put it on my heart to homeschool, and I battled for a while. I was that one that used to say I'd never homeschool. I decided we'll start in the fall. I have 3 girls 4th, 5th, and 7th. We'd get up at 430 am to get ready for school and bus stops, then after getting off my job being a teacher myself, helping my elderly father, I'd see my kids late at night. It was all overwhelming and I knew at this rate at some point I'd possibly lose them to the world. The school had more time with my kids than I did. Being a teacher and seeing some of the behaviors and attitudes of this age, I decided to start homeschooling in the fall. I'm growing myself. A cousin reminded me first and foremost is to teach your children to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." Thank you for sharing and helping people like myself.
I totally support you and thank you for watching/commenting! We must be teachers to our children regardless of homeschooling, private school, or public school options. Teach them how to live righteous lives that are pleasing to God and they will be just fine. Best wishes to you and your family as you navigate this journey! 🫶🏽
I pulling my 5th grader out of public school right after the winter break. He is in middle school in our district and the change (drama and fighting) is making him not like school at all. We are in a predominantly white community and the racism is real, he hasn’t encountered it yet but I have with the front office lady. He loved elementary school but he can’t focus with all the fights and drama going on. I still plan on letting him join sports teams and go on field trips with our communities homeschooling group. I Looooovvveee this video. Thank you sooo much for showing more black moms that we can do it! ❤
Thank you so much for watching and sharing! Kudos to you for taking the initiative and change the narrative. I am hoping nothing but continued blessings as you navigate this new journey for you both. 🫶🏽
Thanks so much for sharing. You said everything I always tell people. And I love that you used the word “ungodliness” because it’s the word I didn’t know I needed when I’m stumped on how to express the things going on in schools. 🎉 happy homeschooling.
Thank you for watching/commenting! It’s so much that’s out of control in this world, but the things that we CAN control we must be efficient in doing so. Best wishes and blessings to you and your family. 🫶🏽
I just looked at private school and it’s $5-6k a year, definitely thinking homeschooling and traveling with my son who’ll be going to 6th grade next year!😊Thank you for the video! I’m team entrepreneurship as well!
Good day love...I'm currently about to take my 5 year old out and homeschool. Everyday he says he doesn't want to go or that he's scared of school. So today is the day
I literally just did the same things for pretty much the same reasons. Also, her attitude changed tremendously and was just unacceptable. I expected that but not to extent that it did smh
i'm homeschooling 3 kids.. i find the challenge is finding other moms who are homeschooling to plan trips and other social aspect for the kids. Anyone in Ontario?
I totally understand, for me having boys was definitely a struggle. I found that most people have girls. I’d recommend starting or joining a local homeschool Facebook group to get a good network going. Thanks for watching/commenting. 🫶🏽
@@JalisaRanae So sorry that I butchered that comment!🤣 I was so busy trying to listen to your video and comment between making lunch for my kiddos. I’ll be looking forward to it!
I’m not sure if you’re trolling, being facetious, or simply genuinely inquiring but the answer is yes. There are an abundance of homeschooling information on the web excluding, or making any mention of AA families. My video is to encourage my community, take what you need from it to help you and your family along the homeschool path as well! 😊
