Yes! What do we need? 😅I did horrible my first year of homeschooling. I went overboard and the next year was pretty sad looking through everything we didn’t get to use. Sometimes we think we need certain things when in reality, simplicity goes a looong way! ❤
Your homeschool setup is a whole goal. 🔥 all i have is a section om our bookshelf and a spot under tha cabenet. Lmbo. This will be our first official year. I pulled my son out of kindergarten near the end of the year for medical reasons. I will be homeschooling hom and my 4 year old. I mean they already learn but it will be a bit for structured than before.
When we started I used a kitchen cabinet and shelf in our coat closet.😊 I hope you have an awesome homeschool year with your kids! Have fun. Those a sweet ages. 💕
Can you explain the organization of work for your kiddos using Oak Meadow? My oldest is doing grade 5 this year and I’m struggling with the easiest option for work? I see you have MLBs but also lined notebooks.
So for 4th grade, we didn't use lined notebooks. We used the main lesson books for everything. This year for 5th grade, will we do what I did for my 6th grader last year. He will use the main lesson books for the final and best work and illustrations. The lined notebooks will be for notes, drafts, and written exercises. The grid notebook will be for math.
Thank you for this video! Btw does Oak Meadow incorporate art most lessons? Art is a must in our home. I’m almost 90% sure of using Moving Beyond the Page for 5th grade full curriculum. I’m curious if you’ve done a flip through lesson on Oak Meadow? I’ve seen the unboxing. If you haven’t done one, can you do a lesson or flip through to see the components?
4th grade had art incorporated into the weekly lesson plan. My kids also took art classes at a co-op this year. In my 6th grade plan with me video you can see inside the 6th grade lessons. My 4th-grade picks from last year show into the lessons for oak meadow too. Also, check the Oak Meadow website for curriculum samples. They have some great samples. I don't see art for 5th grade, but we will be using some other Waldorf-inspired books we have to continue learning about art.
I purchased that from Hobby Lobby years ago on clearance. I believe it's a display shelf of sorts because it has hooks to hang it on the wall. I have found some similar looking containers that are used as planters, but I don't have a link for this.
