I love that it is black and white! Sometimes those colorful preschool books are so overwhelming and my little preschooler loses interest fast. We also use core knowledge for preschool and all of my kids have so many fond memories with it. Love this! 💕💕
Yay! You picked up Playing Preschool! It is amazing and my absolute favorite! Stay consistent with it and you will be amazed how much she learns just by activities and play! And yes! My two year old loves doing the activities with her older brother too! We are still using the second year and still loving it 😊

I have a 2 and 3.5 year old .. last year January I began playing pre school and my daughter was 13 months at the time so she just sat in on the lessons while my then 2.5 year old would do them and both of them learned so much ! I really like the book selection , it does a great job at cementing the info into the child’s mind . By the time my daughter was 18 months she had learned all the things just by sitting in her high chair and hearing me teach her brother ! She knew shapes letter sounds and some colors , so I know your youngest will enjoy it ! I didn’t finish it because my son was getting bored and I find I have to piece different curriculums together for him so I sometimes bring it back and use it as a unit study . We also have all the jady a workbooks her cvc flash cards and many of her toddler laminated workbooks and we love them . We are also doing a curriculum called five in a row but I have to check out what your preschooler needs to know 😂🤣 because i admit I am a curriculum junkie and school is just so fun at this age ! These are great picks I haven't heard of! My 3 year old is also using a pen control book and a cheap Scholastics preschool book. I think at this point I just want to build the habit of doing a little work for 5 minutes with me. I've relaxed a lot since my first and I'm ok that we're not doing special preschool activities frequently. I have Peaceful Preschool and A Year of Playing Skillfully and I love both but it's just not a priority to plan and execute all the activities in this season of life. I use them for inspiration to mix things up sometimes. But I just make my home environment very learning friendly with shape/number/letter/picture puzzles, family games, process art, sensory play, and open-ended toys. My 3 year old joins in on a lot of our unit studies and morning basket and he's learning so much with the family 🥰
Yes! I have a three year old and I love looking at preschool curriculum. We have the core knowledge book but I didn’t realize there were also activity books! I’ll need to look into that! My boy also knows his letters and letter sounds and has since May or so, but he can’t blend at all and he tries so hard (not cuz I make him… he watches the leapfrog word factory show and they blend a lot and it is really giving him the desire to read). I’m doing AAR pre reading with him because even though it seems like just letters and letter sounds, they really have a lot of play based (with a zebra puppet) focus on phonemic awareness skills (rhyming, breaking words up, etc). I’m tempted to just do sight words with him because he has a really good memory, but I think for him that’ll encourage him to do word guessing and not be as good of a reader than if He could do SOME decoding before sight word. When he gets there I’ll need to look into those Jady A cards as a bridge before we move into AAR level 1. We got some CVC learning locks from lakeshore that seem similar but add a kinesthetic piece which is super motivating for my boy. Please continue sharing your what you choose for your little ones! Yes ! I am going to do my best to keep on making more preschool videos as well . My daughter is in the same boat she knows all of her letters sounds it is just blending them together. We love the jady a cvc cards it is fun simple. I know it will take time for her little brain to click the blends. I watch alot of reviews on AAR prereader and a lot of people love it too!!! As far as sight words she knows about 16 I think I am not going to introduce any new ones until she has her blends down. 😊
Jady A is amazing! Her workbooks look so simple but effective. It will definitely pair well with the other. I keep seeing these amazing ideas for preschoolers. I need like 6 more babies to do all of them 😂🤦🏻♀️

Are you going to do some hands on activities as well? If so I would love if you'd show what materials you have gathered for that and how you plan to use them? Also if you have some read alouds you're excited to do with your preschooler. I'm just curious. Sorry if I'm asking to much. I've used the E.D Hirsh Core knowledge series for various grade levels. It's a good course of study to follow. I've done a couple of the history units on there for free as well.
Yes the Playing Preschool will be our main curriculum. In all of the units there are science experiments, math, sorting, and critical thinking. Playing Preschool also comes with literature reading that goes along with each unit. I can not wait to make a video showing the curriculum in action. And yes Core Knowledge is great. I seen a history unit that I think I want to try for my oldest daughter too !!!

@@erinjahi4476 I wanted to do one but she has copywriting rules were you are not allowed to show the inside of the curriculum 😞. On her website she shows the whole first unit though!!!
