love how there was a whole story to go along with the math lesson! I've had a bit of pushback from my 5 year old homeschooling isn't common in our family, so the other kids are starting to question it.
We love when there are stories that go with the lesson. Those are our favorite ones. I definitely relate with the pushback. It is a tough season. Does your 5 year old ask to go to public school with other kids?
@@BrittanyLynnHomeschool yes! he attended preschool at a public school because my husband and I couldn't agree on homeschooling. His year was cut short and he was supposed to go back soon after BUT we all know that story haha so he missed out on the "okay school here is over...i'm not your teacher any more" so he's asked about going back to school with his teacher. It doesn't help that his tball and soccer seasons were also cancelled so he's not seeing any of his friends.
You're so patient with your girls! They're doing great. We all have days like that. Tell Lellah she's doing great. And to Samara thank you thank you thank you!! Our daughter sang her ABCs for the first time after hearing Samara singing it lol! Thank you it made my day!!!!! Your daughters are so beautiful inside and out and so talented. Namaste 🙏🏿
YAY! Congrats to her! What an amazing job! you must be so proud. It is great to see our kids accomplishments. And you're so right, we all have our down days. I try not to let it get to me.
You took it in so well. We hav also had some struggles with my 3yr old. Our curriculum finally reached Uganda: Africa , after 60days. Hopefully the new stuff will excite her.
We have attitude a lot! My 6 year old was really not enjoying learning to read. We ended up switching curriculum and he’s doing much better. Of course we have our days! But yes on days where there is a lot of push back we read books or we have some reading games we play instead of the lesson. It’s all about what your kid responds to! You are doing great! Your daughter is reading so well! Keep it up! Glad to know I’m not the only struggling mama sometimes!
Hi! We've been taking it slower with homeschooling too and also doing at least 1 Christmas craft per day. I dont know if you've seen it some where else before but I use a pizza cutter to cut pancakes, waffles and quesadillas, it is so much faster. Thank you for your video and have a great day!
Christmas crafts are so fun! That is a great idea! oh and I'll have to try the pizza cutter for pancakes and waffles! I use it for quesadillas all the time, not sure why I never thought of it for other things before lol
Love your videos! You’re doing an amazing job with your girls! ❤️ I have a 5 and 3 year old....boys and it’s very hard to get them to want to homeschool. I get a lot of push back and excuses and whining. We just do a little everyday. I hope to improve.
I totally know what you mean! It is tough when we're in this season with little ones. A little each day is definitely enough. With time and consistency, things will change!
My 5 year old son has really enjoyed The Good and The Beautiful Math 1, he told me that he wants to do more because of the games, stories, cool pictures and it’s fun.!
Definitely dealing with some December burn out in my house. My son is 4 and I getting some push back and attitude from him so we are focusing on hands on projects and Advent right now. Abeka has us doing three worksheets a day, but I have cut back to just 1 a day and let him choose.
Hey Brittany! Not sure if you have mentioned before, but where did you get the girls little white table that’s in your kitchen/living room area? It’s such a great size for little ones!
we just LOVE that table for them! We got it off amazon. You can find it, and most other things in the video around my house at this link: www.amazon.com/shop/brittanylynn
Morning! How is the Level 1 LA going for your oldest? I will also have a younger daughter starting the Level 1 (she will turn 5yo a month after she starts it) and I was curious how well your daughter was keeping up/retaining the concepts. I totally understand each child is different but I can't help feeling as though I should "fill in the year with something else" and then do level 1 with 1st grade. We will have gone through TGTB Level K before moving onto the next level. And will of course take the Level Assessment:)
Hi there! She is loving the level 1 LA so far. We are on lesson 56 I believe. She is definitely retaining the information. Sometimes, I notice that she is struggling a little with the spelling words, but then we just take a little extra time on those. Good luck!
Hi! This is my first year so I don’t have much input...I’m not good at dealing with bad days! However, I’d love to know about your dining room table! Is it custom built or did you purchase it? If it’s custom built, I have a couple questions! It’s beautiful!! I still can’t get over your daughter READING!!!!💕
Aw, you're the sweetest! And yes, it is custom built! My husband and I built it about 4 years ago. We love it. However, it does need to be refinished. Ask anything you'd like!
@@BrittanyLynnHomeschool ok, thank you!! First, how did you get the wood so close together so type cracks aren’t huge? Second, what did you finish it with? And third, how do you keep the cracks clean??? We had one built a few years ago and it causes me so much stress plus our varnish is getting gummy and scrapes right off!!
yeah we usually say "its time for school". and the sound machine in my older daughters room is really old! The one we have in our younger daughters is a homedics soundspa.
Thank you very much Brittany you are such inspiration this is my first year homeschooling my six years old daughter and you have helped me alot and i am thinking of the good and the beautiful for my 3yrs old daughter but i live in oman i don't know how to get the curriculum here if you can help me i will be more than grateful 🌹❤️🌹
Is it (attitude problem) because both the kids are kept together with different level??? Coz when my son studies with his cousin who is a level lower than him, it makes him frustrated and shows attitude towards me. But when I teach them separately, it’s much easier. I don’t do typical home schooling though. I teach them just the basic. Am learning a lot from your videos so thank you and good luck. Your girls are so beautiful
