Thank you for you kind comment, I am so glad that you have found them helpful. I have had to step away from RU-vid for a while. I have been focusing on the school year with my kids, my How This Mom Does It Facebook Page and Teachers Pay Teachers Store. I hope to get I few new videos up this summer. :)
Love all those books. I just started my homeschool and science channel. I hope you try the periodic table next year! Subscribed! Congrats on passing 1000 :)
Thank you! I am so glad you liked the video. I had to step away from RU-vid this school year and focused more on my kids, my How This Mom Does It Facebook page and my Teacher Pay Teachers store. I hope to get a few new videos up this summer. :)
I love you videos. We use a lot of the same books and resources and we follow the recommendations in The Well Trained Mind fairly closely. I purchase a lot of books for our history and science studies every year. I'm interested in knowing where you buy your used books from. I use Amazon and Thriftbooks but I don't usually get the books as cheap as you do. Really enjoying your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks!!! I am glad you enjoy my videos. I appreciate the feedback, it helps me determine what types of videos to make. :) I love the Well Trained Mind too. It is the homeschool book that I recommend to all new homeschoolers no matter what style of homeschooling they tend to follow. I have it on audio book and the hard cover book as well. I like to listen to it during the summer as I prepare for the next school year. :) I actually get a lot of my books at a local used book store. I recommend checking your area for any used book stores. However, Goodwill and other similar stores usually have great deals on books too. I also have had great success at teacher yard sales (where retiring teachers are cleaning out what they have). I am also on several local homeschool facebook buy/sale/trade pages. I don't usually feel safe with Craigslist but I feel more confortable buying from people on those pages. I actually purchased my Five in a Row curriculum, some Saxon, etc for people on those FB pages. Best of luck finding great deals!!!
How is Science going this year? We will be starting Elemental Science Biology this year and I am excited by the projects and looks to be fun! So I was just wondering if Earth Science and Astronomy has the same outcome. :)
Lizard Chase Sorry for the late response, I had to take some time away from RU-vid. Earth Science is very similar to Biology in how it's put together. Basically it's the same format just a different topic. I love that you can do as much or little as you want. We also do the coloring pages and a few of the lapbooks. You can purchase these from their website.
