Loops while you wait….five tracks start finish in under 35 minutes.
Even though its painful at times when the L plug comes outta the tele jack or a random youtube video starts playing out of nowhere, i thought maybe you guys might get a kick outta seeing the deep inner pain and soul wrestling that goes along with making a typical Homeskoolin’ style loop.
This one features my son’s Jazz Bass and my alltime favorite lap steel…a 30’s Rickenbacker model B
Thanks so much for watching these recent episodes that were brought to you strictly by covid and canceled tour dates.
If you guys are indeed learning and growing from these videos and the madness contained within, please visit the Homeskoolin’ tip jar, which is built solely on the “honor system” and the proud integrity of Uncle Larry’s Army

Everytime I hear the words "lap steel guitar" it reminds me of "David Gilmour pretentious phase", to be more exact the "pronounced belly size David Gilmour" which is definitely not my favorite phase of him (LOL) And saxophones.... bloody fucking hell 🤣🤣🤣 Don't allow that to happen to your life too whoever is reading this (we will all reach that stage eventually and it fucking sucks, and the lower back pains, and the heartburn...)

@@johnvcougar in practice yes, challenge yourself. Tom is putting on a performance in which context he said “don’t write what you can’t play” which makes sense. Of course you would practice something you can’t play. Life, is also often a performance hence the analogy. Don’t take on more than you can handle in essence. my 1st time around here... 2 things I LOVED about this: 1) unedited videos, no cuts... I love this format 2) there's something magical about the tone of the guitar being recorded by a ROOM MIC (cellphone in this case) capturing the sound of an amplifier in the room, opposed to a Direct Line recording (which in theory is "crispy clear" but ends up sounding lifeless)

Wonderful insight into your workflow and the thinking behind each color you add to the canvas... it still amazes me how rapidly you work, from finding the perfect tone to compliment what you've already got, thinking up a an idea, learning to play it, then slotting it in place like a jigsaw piece... so impressive, thank you for sharing this! 😊 ... Also, please get the after market replacement jack ring for your tele (the one with the screw attachment) ... it took me 10 minutes to fit one for a friend, costs about $10 and will save you risking a heart attack every time you go for a beer!!
