Tom, these Homeskoolin’ videos have truly been a Godsend to all guitar players. Thank you so much for blessing us with your musicianship and expertise...I’ve learned more from you in 3 weeks than I’ve learned in my 35+ years of playing. I’m usually a one-and-done video watcher, but your videos have changed that for me. The backing track and slide solo you played on your Easter edition video is mesmerizing. I’ve probably gone back and watched that video two dozen times. On the subject of pick scrapes, EVH’s on Mean Street is fantastic, albeit quick (and deadly). Though, I’d have to vote Nugent’s pick scrape on Stranglehold as my all-time favorite. A million thanks for making quarantining almost bearable!

I have kind of known about this for a while. But not at your level of skill obviously. But seeing you demonstrate this gave me some insight into this mysterious tone I have been hearing for years. I am just a typical blues box guy. But I am definitely going to get serious on practicing new things out of the box. Your playing and words of wisdom and knowledge are a huge benefit to any musician at any level. Thanks. Your an awesome cat.take care.

Damn. Where you been all my life. Good stuff, brother! Been playin for 40+ yrs hobby style and 99% 12 string. Ran into a Taylor Jumbo same time Neil Young did back in 77 and just played that all these years. Broke my neck. Hands needed help. Bought my first electric about a year ago. 44 years of playing and first electric. Got a proper tube amp a couple weeks ago. Old Ampeg Gemini 2 with the old tremelo and reverb and a 15” in it. Been a Billy Gibbons/ZZ fan since their first album came out. This is the first rig I’ve had my hands on that will do that sound. This smear is scratchin an itch. Thanks!

Tom, I was born in 64 so I got 4 yrs on ya, I was looking at who you did sessions with Soo cool to have played with Vince,Stevie, and all those cats ! The "Smear" on an SG that year is the best ! My neighbor has one like yours and he had the tremolo bar removed ? I said man, dont do that ! Those pick ups are the best Gibsons I've ever heard in his ! I dont read tab or music and didn't have RU-vid coming up just a Chet Adkins song book.. I always would go to liner notes to see what "Studio" musicians played on what tracks? Steve Lukather, Larry Carlton, etc: Man, I think being a studio cat is the highest honor period ! I'm really digging your videos man ! No B.S. just playing ideas ! My friend from Ohio you have inspired me very highly ! AND I SAY ROCK ON ! Just noticed... "The Home Of The Buzzard" shirt ! Did 9 months up there outside of Cleveland in reform school where I learned guitar off the counselor's ! It was a military style place where you marched to chow... I got letters from my family from 9th grade when my brother brought me up hash and I put it in my ears on strip search after he drove up to visit me .. Love these vids man !

Thank you... happy Easter to you and your Family... I’m so glad you are approaching this as just one of the guys... a fellow picker... if you will... and not pretending to be some greater-than-thou guitar god or rock star... your humble approach to music is a lesson A LOT of musicians could learn from... ain’t it funny how the guys (and gals) that are great in their own mind... are actually novice to early intermediate in the real world and usually cocky as hell... and people that think, like your self, that they are no where close to great and always trying to improve in their own mind... are actually great and very advance on their instrument in the real world... and usually pretty cool to be around....Just thought that was funny... God bless, Brother Bukovac.

Tom! :) I’m gonna be you’re greatest fun man! If I could only fly nearby I would! I’m gonna take my time watching you! You probably should keep going as long as u can to make sure random musicians like me get to know you and you’re personality! After that?! You’ll be a star! We are all waiting for someone just like you! No artists are so clear and so willing to give! Info, and notions as a “in studio guy”! Feels like their knowledge gets unbelievably precious once they get anywhere over an average guy trying to make it happen. No one will be as good as you are but you still believe this knowledge should be shared, that’s what makes me think you’re one of the best guy I’ve ever seen on RU-vid or any online bullshit platforms! I’ve seen so many lately asking for remuneration on these online “courses” and I will just watch Buk and grasp as much I can from you! Hope you’ll keep being the same purely guitar player that wished to be a singer! No reason to play guitar if not to give emotion! Otherwise we’d be simply playing guitar!
