As we develop this abandoned 6 acres into a working homestead we’re always juggle what’s going on now - like harvesting this year’s bounty - with preparing for our next phases of homestead development. We need off grid heat for our cottage. We have to secure a field ready for new animals. We need to ready the ground to grow LOTS more veg next year. And we want to make the most of the last (rare!) glimpses of summer here in the Irish countryside, of course.
