So I just finished reading Homestuck for the first time and I just realized that Dave cut off Dirk's head just like he is threatening to do to his Bro here.
funny thing is, dirk is constantly decapitating and being decapitated himself throughout the entire comic. the robot bunny decapitates grandpa john, his robo-dirk thing he sent jake decapitates a lusus once, his dream self decapitates HB, and he gets decapitated himself twice (once by suicide to teleport his head, the other being the one you mention). it keeps happening
I like the exaggerated bass in this version; the melody shows that Dave obviously knows what he's doing, and the ridiculous bass levels are just him being ironic. Or something like that.
also really well planned, right before the battle against spades and lord Jack begins, you can see a few frames of Dirk with a thumbs down just like in the guardian strife

dave strider Sorry to tell you, dawgs, but I've got you both beat. I have so much irony that I'm referred to among several cliques as Ferric. I have so much irony that my flesh tastes like that time when you were eating popcorn and you bit your tongue really hard and it kinda hurt to talk for a while after because the damn cut refused to heal and it was on the side of the tongue so whenever you moved your mouth your cheek kinda rubbed against the cut and it was like painful tickling.
