[Homestuck] - Penumbra Phantasm (Cover) 

That's basically what made me make this. Since I was recreating that for fun, I just kinda decided to make this. (Sorry for the kinda late reply.)

Even if you never read it. Listen to the music, Homestuck has *piles* of bangers. (A decent few from Toby Fox, or inspired by George Buzinkai)

I based it on a Penumbra Phantasm piano midi, and kinda mixed it with Umbral Ultimatum's intro.

I think there's actually a lot of good evidence that makes people think so. For one, it actually did get finished in 2010. Toby said he wasn't happy with how it turned out, and has implied he wants to do a better version at some point. Next, the first motif is extremely similar to the song "THE HOLY". The holy is actually based on a completely separate song that Toby made, but the main motif from the holy isn't present in that version. Finally, the name Penumbra Phantasm can be interpreted to mean light and dark combining to create an illusion. Considering the fact that deltarune contains a light and dark world, it feels like that isn't a coincidence. I wasn't expecting this to be such a long comment, so sorrry for that, but that's at least some of the reasons I've found.

*Also there's the fact that penumbra phantasm is in hopes and dreams.

The penumbra phantasm section in hopes and dreams is at 1:18 during the flowey motif. It plays on a piano in the right ear. There are some isolations people have done that make it much easier to hear. It's technicaly the doctor motif, but the mistranscripted one that Toby uses for songs like penumbra phantasm.
