Hometown Half Marathon in Suwanee, GA 

Here is an excerpt of the Hometown Half Marathon I ran on June 22, 2024. My pace suffered this day as I was slower by almost 7 minutes than expected. According to the Garmin data, it was an average temperature of 90 degrees (Fahrenheit) with the humidity. I would up running the entire race in Zone 4, but I finished strong.
There were a few medical emergencies on the course and more than a dozen ambulances standing by. It was a great turnout with races for the 5K, 10K and half-marathon all beginning at the same time. It was a well-organized race. I hope next year that it is much cooler.
