SULLY IT TOOK ME 63 YRS TO SEE YOU AND THE BAND ONEOF MY BEST SHOWS. I HAVE SEEN BANDS LIKE LED ZEP. PINK FLoyd QUEEN AND OTHER TOP BANDS AND SULLY YOU WERE AMAZING THANKYOU
I wouldn't listen to anything Godsmack put out 20 + year ago and hated this dude , 20 + years later its all I listen to and I love the guy !!! I don't know I don't but times have changed a lot for me and I hear things I need to hear in his music to keep me going!! thank you Sully
Hi Brian, well, I could see why. I had a bad image of Sully all those years ago too because I was brought up much differently than he was and became more disciplined than he showed. I think over time he has matured a bit. Does he still say things and act a certain way in public that may be grotesque? If you watch the live performances, yes, but he's more restricted. He admitted during this thing that life around his daughter began help appreciate other points of view and get rid of his selfish antics and immaturity and that's a good thing. Some people it takes time for them to grow. His last couple albums honestly show a sign of strength and that's something he needs. It's not surprising to me now with this that he's not just a showman anymore and he's settling down.
First time I saw Godsmack was April 1999 in Austin, Texas at LaZona Rosa. So, the band is playing Thunderkiss 65 to finish the set, and Sully flipped his mic stand and busted Tony's head wide open with it. Tony keeps playing as help comes in to clean up his cut. The whole time he's getting his head cleaned up, he just keeps playing! I waited 14 years to finally meet Sully in 2013 and asked him if he remembered that happening and he looks at one of his tech guys and busts out laughing and goes "Holy shit! You remember that show??!!" Sully remembered. I wonder if Tony does.
I've waited for decades to tell you, that when I was sick from Radiation. Your band inspired me to get back on track! I hope I can write a letter to express how much your band means to me! Thank you, Sully!
I literally am here today and stopped myself form doing something very stupid because of Godsmack. Listening to the song Shinedown more times than I can count saved my life.
@@mrhoffame I'm thankful you're still here. I'm certain that this floods the band with joy, know their music reached you in such of a positive heightened state. Stay strong my friend and a big hug for you!
Thanks for all you do for mental health @sullyerna. You helped this morning when my fiancé and I were woken up to one of her friends going through an aggressive depression moment. I was able to draw from your and @brentsmith episode along with my own self experiences to help her get him to a calm space. Without these resources, it would be much harder to help people face depression and like warriors find our way to the calm spaces
I have a T-shirt from playing at the Hempstock Festival in Maine 1998. You guys played the same night that we did. Our band was Toychest. Fun times and great memories ❤
You are so adorable! You make my day! I missed you in Milwaukee & Green Bay this year (2023). I was hoping to get to one of your Wisconsin shows. Under Your Scars is amazing and the foundation is truly beautiful. My daughter has Cerebral Palsy and the song brings tears every time I hear it. It reaches all my emotions and comforts me. I had to play it on the Eve of her 33rd birthday, which was October 3rd, 2 days ago. Nobody knows. My last son and child is going into the mental health field, because he was/is struck deeply by the increased and climbing mental health issues, suicide, and etc. He’s currently a junior at University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Anywho, from my hometown Bostonian heart ~ thank you, Sully Erna… thank you. ❤️🥰😘 oh… p.s. 🤣😂 Do you have the Red Sox photos that were in the loaves of bread back in the day? I loved Fred Lynn!

Thanks for pointing out the Pantara item, as a Iocal Texan from that time in music and Joes garage it brings back fun memories. You are one of the greats and your voice is timeless!!!!!
A bad ass Mr. Rogers!!! ROFL Classic!!! Especially for those of us who grew up watching Mr. Rogers!!! I think my parents & teachers would've had kittens if the Mr. Rogers had so many tattoos, used colorful language & rocked like Sully does!! 🤣🤣🤣

Huge "YES" to the "Sully & Friends Virtual Concert". Like you said, the other virtual concerts are amazing. Love them. But we need to inject some rock into people's lives right now for sure.
Thanx for the tour! That was awesome! I remember seeing some of these spaces in different posts and pictures that you all have posted. Nice to put it all together! Looking forward of seeing you guys again! Hopefully next year! And that was a good idea to wait, for several reasons! Yes, on the virtual show with different artists! Absolutely love you! Been seeing you for years now and don't plan on stopping! Sending you all love! 🤘😍🤘

This is so so cool of you to take time out for us GODSMACK fans!! you've been inspirational in my drumming life as well as playing guitar now.. drums came natural from birth but I am glad you agree with THEE Best drummer Neil Peart!! Question finally. I'm also a father of three/ my ex and I buried our twin daughters that were conjoined at the heart. They were born with a 6 chamber heart and with bringing them home for the 4 months God blessed us with them, our Daughters taught me the TRUE deffinition of LOVE!! My son is great also a drummer song writer. My dream is to open a non profit studio here in Detroit and for the young kids that like myself didnt get my 1st drum kit till i was 18. So I want to open a studio for young kids and adults 24 over should have a job unless disabled would have to pay... can you dirrect me to the first thing to do after i have the location. Do you agree to write to Yamaha for help and all the instruments and so on we need to get my dream up and rolling. ANY SUGGESTIONS?? sorrry for long comment/question. Thanks and God bless. Stevoo
Hello Sully, I don't know if you'll read that. I just wanna say I'm a big french fan of your music. 2 Years ago I discovered your album Avalon (and also Hometown life thereafter) and it was a real musical revelation. The year zero of my new life as a musician. You changed the way I understood music and I thank you so much for that. Now I really know how to feel the music.
I know a lot of people are tired of being stuck at home due to COVID-19, but I'm really enjoying these Hometown Sessions and virtually hanging out with Sully so I'm hoping it last a bit longer. Stay safe everyone. Can NOT wait for the next Godsmack album
Lost a family member a good while back - India Spainhour whose family are from Murphreesboro, TN. I miss her like crazy but I’m just glad she doesn’t have to hurt anymore. For the record, I hope I spelled the city name correctly as I don’t live in Tennessee.
Hello Just wanted to say that you have a beautiful voice and daughter always admired your love for her as well as what you do for others through your foundations .Thank you for your music that helped me through my struggles as well as I would like to say that I’m a ass backwards Polak that came to cCanada 30 yrs ago after Berlin Wall went down (incredible experience especially for me as I lived through what now is happening in Ukraine) by the way the Russian “guitar” is called (balalaika) .Im also a Norse Pagan so I’m also interested in your story how you got into your beliefs cause nobody ever asks anything about that but we both know it’s a private and most don’t talk about it but it’s just and idea 💡?maybe? Also wanted to thank you for mentioning Europe and it was weird to hear Poland from your mouth lol Keep doing what your doing cause we need people with your beautiful voice! Blessings love and peace from bottom of my heart Btw love ❤️ your solo work my fave are sinners prayer,7yrs,and until then MooN baby in my opinion is the very sexy love song as Voodoo (just like the men singing)and come together...your version I like much better and it’s to much and first time I heard Under the scars I cried and Unforgettable is exactly that! My name actually is Iwona (Evona)I’m and industrial electrician so if you need help especially South America and Egypt let me know lol I’m just joking and you rock but my first metal “love” was Iron Maiden! So sorry but you come second in my book got to be loyal so take care
