It's an attack drone used by the Progenitors in the single player missions. The only way you can ever use it is if you're playing a mod that unlocks it.
The Homeworld games are the only games that are actually easy to control.. Every other space game i´ve ever played has never been as easy to control as Homeworld! Homeworld! Simply the best game ever!
I like the part at 3:35. There's all these missiles and laser fire closing on that big ship; it's taken heavy damage and leaking energy. But, then it's like the captain says: "You think we're finished!? Well then, suck on this mother-!" *FROOO* Massive ion cannon fire. Epic.
Yeah, it's a cool mod because you can create huge battles fast and just watch the CPU players fight. It's called Capturable Fleets and you can get it on moddb
i especially like the extravagant ship designs well the battlecruiser look kinda generic, but all these small ships have an own look that you don't see everyday the design itself really is amazing awesome game in a whole *hopes for homeworld 3 DO IT RELIC!!!*
heard about possibility of Homeworld 3, if that's true they should try to use this music for the trailer, it just fits with all the sound effects and voice in my opinion
maybe be not now...but look how the whole series graphics evolved from shogun tw to empire tw... i bet in 2 or 3 years pc capacity wont be the problem anymore
its a space rts and yeah you can focus the camera on the units but you can move the camera around using the arrow keyes (its best to keep focusing on the units) its just your typical rts (you have a command center, you build, harvest resource etc...) except its in space you should watch other vids about homeworld 2
I can't believe I actually thought Star Wars: Empire at War was better then this for a time ... I stand corrected, it's Space battles having NOTHING compared to badassery of Homeworld 2.
It is a mod, but as far as I know the effects are the same as the original game. Maybe it's because I zoomed in closer to the ships?? A lot of HW2 vids don't zoom in close enough, in my opinion.
your complety right man just installed it again with my own modifications on and just noticed the difference between my slow speed fighters and corvettes(more damage and armor) and the normal ''fast'' fighters)
i dont get why everyone thinks ships in space need to move slow it's the future you ever see a space shuttle move it's freaking fastand it's like 100 tons and only has a couple of thrusters the ones in the vid have huge thrusters and can go in to hyperspace and thats faster then the speed on light
Yes, it's an RTS. Your best bet would be to look up Homeworld 2 on Wikipedia. That'll give you all the basic info about the game. There are also a lot of mods available that add new ships and change the gameplay. If you're interested in getting mods for it, check out these sites: moddb. com forums. relicnews. com It's a great game, I highly recommend it.
is there a mod that just allows me to deploy the fleet at once ? because i have to admit i'm not good at managing a battle and at the same time keeping my resources up.
It looks like your install path might have a space in it. Mine isn't installed in the default folder either but there's no spaces in the path. Try installing it to C:\homeworld\
trying pasting "C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Re lease\Homeworld2.exe" -mod into a text file. Then create a shortcut of the hw2.exe in the bin folder. Paste it into the target, should get you working.
Try making a new shortcut to the hw2 exe file and make sure there aren't any quotation marks in the target box. My shortcut target is: C:\Program Files\Sierra\Homeworld2\Bin\Release\Homeworld2.exe -mod capturablefleets.big -GameRules capturablefleets Also make sure your game is patched to version 1.1 Hope this helps.
