For those who do not know it...the instrument on the left is a nyckelharpa. I played mine today for a memorial for a man who had Swedish ancestors, as do I. This tune is a beautiful one to honor those who have helped to keep the Swedish traditional music alive!

Hi Lars, what a wonderful music. a Cellist, friend of mine sent me the link to listen to that song. I have been touched by the way that "guy" was playing, very simply and wisely. Very simple melody, judicious ornaments, I have been listening to it 20 times since yesterday morning. I play the violin, viola and spalla but also a little bit of Nickelharpa. I am also a classical music composer. I first thought it was a traditionnal song and tried to find the score on the web to have it performed by my pupils. I didn't find any so I wrote it down and made an arrangement for string Trio (Nickel, violin and cello) and also String orchestra (2 Vlns, Viola ad cello) yesterday afternoon. Then I discovered you had composed it yourself in may 2015. I had to use Google translator to understand the comments in swedish. Congrats, it's nice music speaking to our senses, direct to the soul. I have been listening to this a lot this past year. The song is great and so is your tune, I have been playing the violin in 8 years now and this inspired me to try even harder, I'd love to find the violin notes for this. So beautiful! Ps. I know I'm late... :)

This tune is quite enchanting. Several of us have been "taken" by it and would like to play it and share it . Would we have your permission? Thank you. Would you consider the tempo to be a Gånglat? Was it composed with a funeral march or procession in mind? It has a wonderful melody. Would the guitar player be willing to explain which chords he uses? This seems to be in the key of D. thank you.

Hej TorbjornLars Vilken vacker melodi och arr, jag bliver rört varje gång jag hör den (och det har jag gjort många gånger) Jag undrar om jag får lov till att spela den och använda den i min undervisning, jag är gitarr lärare i Odense Danmark (jag är svensk) och det är bara en fantastisk sång att visa barnen här nere så dom får upp ögonen på något annat än det som bliver "spelat/stremet" på radio/computer.
