Yea ...You Guys Are Right .....I Got a 2wd Honda Recon ....and I Blast Through The Mud No Proplem ....Best Fun Ive Ever Had......And If I Get Stuck ....Who Cares ....lol...Gr8 Video Btw...
@TheDonkerzGJ , The can-am renegade 500 EFI XT is an awesome ATV. Can-am's are very expensive too. In the states the 500 EFI XT msrp is $9299 and that does not include tax. Thats jus crazy! You can get a Kawasaki Teryx Side-x-Side for that money.
@bradman1012 , that Rancher was a 2000. I never had any trouble at all. They were only 26x12x12. Just right for that 350 Rancher. Man that thing would go.
I traded it, an old trailer with no floor, and a shotgun for a 1981 Toyota Trekker 4x4. I swamped the old 350 one day and it just was never the same. I had the motor rebuilt two or 3 times. I wish I would have just bought a new head instead of doing a bore and new piston. Anyway, it is gone... :o(
hell yeah, my first quad was a moto 4 250 2wd and it was a blast, still got it and still ride it even tho ive moved into bigger ones, aint nothin wrong with riding a small machine so long as your having fun
@TheDonkerzGJ , It stinks that honda puts a darn 11" rim on the back. U can buy 11" aftermarket tires for it but the better thing to do is c if ur local honda shop has any pulloffs. We bought my brother some aluminum pulloffs from a Rubicon. They are 12" rims, lighter & easier to find tires for. Anyway, u can definitely run a 26 or 27 on the back of that 420 with no problem. I wouldnt go with a swamplite. Not that they are bad, they just dont do good in sandy bottom conditions. MudTrax for sure.
Mud Gear are good in the mud. They do well on all terrain and are tough as nails. Long lasting and durable. They are a bit heavy. Look at the Mud Trax as well. Great tire and tough too!!
Well thank you, That was my old 350 2wd. I loved that thing and man it would GO!!!! Nothing like hitting a rut and coming out on two wheels. I love it! Thanks for watching
@MrMustangcj You are absolutely correct. You dont have to have a big expensive atv or even a 4wd to have a great time. I rode a 2wd Honda 350 Rancher for many years. I lived it and I miss it now that it's gone.
U dont always need a hopped up 4x4 to have a good time... I have a 2004 Honda Rancher ES 2wd, stock other than a 3000lb winch and Mudlites on the rear. the only thing I hate about 2wds is if you even think about riding against the ruts...you will be stuck before you know it! and you have to guess at what you can go through, other than just taking a chance knowing you got 4wd.
I have and other do too take their 2wd's the same places and try deep holes just like 4wd's do. Check out my video of the 4wd 420 and the 2wd 350 Rancher going through a deep hole and you tell me the point in having a snorkel on a 2wd. Thanks for watching.
I have had a 2wd 350 Rancher for about 6 years. I can climb creek banks and go muddin in it and rarely ever get stuck somehow, lol. I'm looking forward to getting a Gopro cam and making some vids with it.
Yeah, that 2wd 350 with Outlaws did amazing. I have surprised a lot of people with that little machine. I have had tons of fun with it. Thanks for watching!
Hey Mr. Mud i have an 2006 cat 400 4x4 that needs a little more power. any idea on some power adders i can do to it that will actually will make a dufference. i need to get the carb re done mayby there is a place for imporvement.
Thanks friend. You are right brother.. getting stuck is just a part of it... who cares. Thats why we never ride alone so when we get stuck we will have plenty of help getting out.
All of the ones you see are real. They have a motor, tires, exhaust and they run. How much more real can they get?! Everyone you see has what they can afford and they are having a blast with what they have. Thanks for watching!
@TheDonkerzGJ , oh yeah, his is a manual. I do believe it has a gas guage. They are very easy to snorkel too. I highly recommend it. Mud Trax, Mud Gears, Mud Bugs are great alterrain tires. Swamplites arent bad, they just dont hold up as good as those I mentioned. Let me know what u decide.
My Recon ES 250 constantly outruns my buddy’s 700 Yamaha Raptor when drag racing from a dig. It’s great! The electric shift throws a code and locks itself ito gear occasionally, but then you just shut it off and restart it, and it’s fine.
@TheDonkerzGJ , thanks a lot man. What type of riding do you do? I would not go with 25's. I would buy at least a 26". Also go with a 12 wide unless they only sell an 11 wide. Outlaws are awesome but they ride rough on hard surfaces. The fast you go the smoother they ride. Where do u live? We ride around Memphis, TN and Northern Mississippi.
@TheDonkerzGJ , Oh yeah... for sure wait until warranty expires. Also, get full coverage insurance on it. It is so cheap for an entire year. See what type of deal they will work u about the rim change. Also, honda has been selling the 420 2wd for $3299. Get online and check out rebates too. Where do u live? Are you close to eastern arkansas at all?
Hey man i am a rookie at you tube so i sent you a video responce of a place i went to today. Check it out. Killer swamp land. Short video. but still cool.
@TheDonkerzGJ , 26x12x12 Outlaws should do great on a 420 2wd since all the power is only needing to turn 2 tires verses 4. My brother runs 26x11x12 Mud Trax on his 420 2wd and they do great. Check out my vids. I have a few on there of his 420 2wd. As a matter of fact, the red 420 on this video is him with the Mud Trax. Check the others out too.
T Murph So when you’re a dumbass and drive it off into a lake like they did you don’t ruin the motor that’s why you have a snorkeling on 2wd..... snorkels for dumbasses
