I think that a bike like this with the necessary modernisations would very much have its place today as well. Steel frame and water cooling would make it a bit heavier than its grandchild, the CRF, but the added durability of steel and technical advantage of water cooling would make such a 350 a bike that will go everywhere and forever. A lovely sounding, lovely looking machine! …and it's lovely to see how friendly the dogs were. I had a rather heated debate with Switzerians a few months ago according to whom you should be eaten by the dogs now. 😅Me, I said that one should be respectful and friendly with the sheep herder dogs and they would give just that kind of behaviour in return. Thanks for proving me right! Your videos are rare gems, but each and every one of them is just that: A gem! 🤗

Hi there, I am a Kiwi living in Western Australia!! I have this exact model of bike that i have restored!! Its also my first road legal bike. Great to learn basic bike mechanics on and so much fun to ride. Again great video, not to many showing these bikes
I’d love too see a video on what you’ve done with Honda MT250 Elsinore. I’m flying to Switzerland next week to pick a bike up register it at STVA in Zurich and ride it back to England. Keep up the good work.

Great video, great motorcycle! ... always wondered why they simply didn't sell 350 models but 250 when a 350 simply have this bit more power without more weight. So I'm looking for a big bore kit to 350 ccm for my old Yamaha XT 250 3Y3 ... perhaps someone knows where to get one.
Bonjour Laurent. Oui, la 350 XL peut rouler à 100 de croisière mais pour cela, j'ai un peu rallongé le rapport de transmission finale. D'origine cette XL tire assez court, sans doute pour ne pas pilonner à très basse vitesse en tout-terrain. Et puis les vibrations deviennent sensible au dessus de 5000 tours mais le bon couple permet de se faire plaisir sans trop monter dans les tours. Bonne route
Bonjour. Oui, j'ai une 350 Big Horn. J'ai fait refaire l'embiellage, bielle et piston neufs. J'ai juste fait quelques dizaines de kilomètres de rodage et ça c'est mis à vibrer de folie. Embiellage sans doute décalé. La Big Horn est punie au fond d'un box pour l'instant.
