So I just picked the same unit up and two things, 1) there's a fuel line that went to towards the handle bars of all places that was unhooked and leaking & 2) the crankcase was FULL . Any thoughts on either. Cheers.
My 87 honda fourtrax came with a after market fuel pump in it already it has been hard wired to come on with the key switch however as soon as it's turned on fuel poors out the over flow on the bottom of the carb I ordered a rebuild kit for the carb and replaced the float needle no luck even when it's running its pouring gas out of over flow any idea's thank you
i put a cheap pump in and it was garbage. would always die in 3rd gear. replaced it with a better one that cost about $60 and its ran perfect ever since. reviews on the cheap pump especially after a year a bad.
Well so far so good.. I’ve heard a lot of mixed reviews on these fuel pumps tho. Filter would be my first idea as well. I coated my tank so I don’t have to worry about rust anymore.
