YS Khong. You are on form today! The best driving ever I seen from your channel and I watch a tonnes of your Genting videos. You visibly improved since the early RU-vid videos where you are slower. Really level up and shows even a very experienced driver can improve. Master of Genting liao. Your video brought countless joyc to car enthusiast like me. Thank you boss.
wow definetly you were pushing harder than usual videos for sure. amazing to see what these cars can actually do. amazing drive. theres no other channels pushing cars like this specially in SEA. keep it up YS never stop.
Amazing Genting hill climb by YS Khong !....near perfect conditions , little traffic , bright & dry track/road except for 1 dumb hogger . Joy to watch sifu's ' pull & push' steering skill & maneuvering for a straight line direction round the corners. Got worried at your concentration deficit ref a unstuck camera ...insignificant irritation @ best. Thank you very much for another fabulous hill run.
Uncle YS nice driving! i like how you scrub speed using the corners rather than using brakes at the uphill sections. Also i think the camera angles is perfect, makes us feel we are in the car.
Ive already drive my accord 1.5t for almost 5+++km n 6 or 7 times to GPO but its really scary to see uncle just drve it like a hot hatch.. excellent drive sir.. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
The simulated gears on the CVT really helps figuring out what speed the car is going. Much better experience. There is a high pitch whine from the transmission. I suspect the CVT won’t last if driven hard. The car handles very well for a large sedan.
It will last as long as you change the fluid regularly people need to do research on modern Honda cvts they’re quite reliable I never hear of them failing
Wow, this time i can see the agresiveness. U r def the pro🙇🏻♂️ and i can say, this is the most wild and rally like of all car u drove up there. I love this!
For a front wheel drive vehicle, the Accord handles well. I have the 2018 Accord EX and I have been very satisfied with the ownership for 2 years. No repairs or any issues other oil changes, wheel balancing and an alignment.
Awesome Uncle YS Khong! love ur driving skill... the best ever I have seen so far... and yes, this Accord 1.5TC-P the best value D segment everyone can buy... thats why we actually brought one, Just after MCO 1.0 lifted... class leading interior space, best ADAS system in the market and very powerful too
How was the the CVT gear box performed? Is it that whiny? And the ride comfort? If it wasn't for CVT, I would get this accord instead opted for camry ..and its CBU
@@muhamadrosly4058 ... a little at high speed, but for me... its nothing... comfort wise... practicular the same with Camry... rear passenger has more space than Camry... spec sheet are far better than Camry... especially the Honda Sensing suites of ADAS... and of course, more powerful as u know right
I thought I saw the meter tops 160kmh. And the corner seems nicely taken. Honda really perfecting it. Nice drive uncle despite the distracting loose stuff.
😳HOLY SH#T!!! He scared me just watching him drive on my phone. I had no idea a stock 1.5 turbo Honda Accord was capable of those kind of maneuvers. Most impressive. 😳🤯
I've just seen this Chanel, and uncle YS reminds me of my father. the looking and style to talk. also, he has some experience with the car too. I'll subscribe now
Uncle YS Khong should make it a tradition where he test the car without knowing the type of tyres then make a reveal later to have a more precised assessment. Edit: Also I can say the CVT perform well I think. Not as lagging and unresponsive or else the drive would be difficult to connect between the car.
If any of you guys driving a CVT car, please do the CVT fluid change more often (according to your driving style) & do a proper clutch re-adaptation too. Once you start neglect the cvt, when the steel belt inside breaks, it will be a catastrophic damage to the gearbox. Non of those repairing just the valve body like on normal AT. It is in my opinion that large sedan like this shouldn't have small sized engine, no matter how much the power output is. NVH & luxury should be more of its selling point. It does sound kinda rough too & that cvt whine is pretty noticeable or maybe it's just the mic picking more sound than it should. Probably the car could use with more sound insulations tbh.
Honda using torque converter cvt, there is no clutch in this cvt. Hence it is smooth like conventional AT and no traffic jam inching problem of a clutch over heating cvt.
I own a civic and let me tell u this.Ur perception that cvt is noisy is correct. However after 3 years owning this and this is my conclusion.U will 98 percent of the time vl not accelerate hard and u vl nvr hear cvt whining. The more faster u go,the lesser sound u hear. This cvt have all my passenger say the car is so comfortable and nvr had anyone complain on whining.Power is more than sufficient at 4k rpm.
now this is fast, i rarely feel fast watching your videos. the accord is good right. i was amaze with the different tuning of this car compare to civic. feel faster and gearbox feel like normal cvt. hahaha its hard to make 18 inch scream, but u really pushing it. i hope honda malaysia bring the 2.0 turbo, at least open for order. value for money.
Been driving 2007. Been pretty comfortable car. But do like the looks of the new one. Especially the Hatchback model a few weeks ago. Wish I had money I'd try to get one.
I agree with you sir about car design nowadays. Merc also started not to differentiate between models. You cannot see the difference between C & E class.
Amazed how the top range revs were used most of the time with the CVT. Indeed, there must be quantum gain in development and refinement. A wonderful demo of how well the CVT matches for the engine size and tune. Er now how about a comment of the every day drive to market character?
You drive good today . In the future I would appreciate if you give cross comparisons with other cars from same segment like Camry and mazda 6 in terms of drive feel, stability , and comfort.
hello uncle, saw a videos of you driving bunch of protons, would absolutely love to see you driving manual satria neo cps r3 if you could get one ,i'm eager to see how it handles around genting with its "lotus handling" touch! :)
I noticed it's not about the engine displacement (cc) or the engine 'size' that determines the power of a vehicle nowadays, it's the horsepower and the torque that we should look at.
