I was one of the first owners in India when the Amaze was launched. I still remember being stopped at traffic signals, just to have a dekho at the car and the proverbial " kitna deti hai" I did a 100k and loved every bit of it. Total paisa vasool car.
Same here Trideep. Bought the OG Amaze in 2014 when it was very new to the market. Been enjoying driving this car since then. The performance and confort and cabin and boot space is all amazing!
I own Amaze VX CVT since december 2019. Trust me it is one of the best car I have ever drive. In this price range this is really the king of compact Sedan!!
Even though the Amaze misses out on some of the essentials like TPMS and rear ac vents, it's still a VFM, NO nonsense option, considering the other features, comfortable ride, trouble free ownership and better build quality. After driving about 71000 km my 2013 manual transmission amaze model, I recently got it exchanged and again booked the top end CVT variant and expecting delivery in two days 🎉.. ✌️

My honda amaze 2021 gave not less than 20kmpl on the highway when I drove it from Bangalore to Coimbatore. 18.4 is the average for 9000 kms. My first car and I love it.

Driving Honda Brio MT since July 2013 and Honda Jazz CVT sine Dec 2018, they are trouble free in the longer run, offers ample cabin space, Dashboards are having long lasting shine, smooth iVtec 4 Cylinder Petrol engine. I will stick to Honda even for the next car
I own Honda Amaze VX CVT diesel model .I am using it since last 8 months I am happy about the car experience. the negative side is a bit noisy diesel engine and its Android auto function crashes very frequently during drives..
I am using 2021 facelift Honda Amaze VX Manual. Mileage (Manual - Petrol): City: 12 Km/l Highway : 17 - 18 km/l It is the best car for family (in my view) ..!! Reason: Reliable engine, smooth riding experience, seating space and 420 L bootspace Not good: Infotainment system, rear seat a/c vent
@@kirankumarmrjain 12Km is in Bangalore traffic. I heard CVT gives better mileage in city. Definitely it is better than Tigor if you would plan to use for long term and long distance travel. But costlier than Tigor (1.5 lakhs extra). If you plan for Automatic, then no doubt Honda amaze CVT is genuine automatic ,much advanced and smooth transmission. If you plan for manual and limited budget, Tigor is better
We booked Red Radiant VX Petrol CVT on 13th May 2022. Delivered on 27th May. 10.21 + 0.31 (insurance) on road Chennai. Only one Accessory... Front centre armrest 4,700...extra 10.21 includes extended warranty and one year road side assistance plus basic accessories kit As per Vin no car manufactured in May 2022 & car arrived at dealer on 22nd May. Front bumper 2 black spots were observed (happened during transit) at the time of pre delivery inspection & dealer replaced it before delivery.
@@trichymahesh1 There are many youtube videos for particular brands of car.. Like Honda, Hyundai etc. You can check those where they have explained it in detail how to find your vehicle manufactured year. We found out our car's manufacturer month and year as April 2022 by noting the VIN number during pre-inspection. And it was absolutely accurate when our car was delivered in the documents. It's almost accurate to find by VIN number🚙👍
I own fully loaded CVT petrol bought in Jan 22. Mostly drive in city and gets the mileage of 9.5-10 kmpl. I'm not bothered with this kind of a mileage and very satisfied with my decision. However, I would strongly recommend not to expect great mileage from this car and don't trust car showroom sales people.
@@sudarshanmurthy6501 pick up is good. I mostly drive alone so never faced any issues. Just to give another perspective I had Honda City 4th gen prior to this and frankly I don't see much difference.
@@nidhipandya9264I think it has more to do with how I drive than the car itself. To extract good mileage from CVT one needs to be a disciplined driver. Fundamentally the technology is developed for linear acceleration and not for the sudden one. Personally I like the noise the engine makes with sudden acceleration and I do it very often, city drive as well as highways. It's not good for fuel efficiency though. So don't worry if you're disciplined driver you'll get more mileage. Also fuel efficiency increases with initial couple of servicing. Now I notice it's at 10.5-11 for me. It's not unusual with Amaze CVT users getting a mileage of 13-14 in city drive. That is what you'll get to hear from users. I'm just an odd one out. So don't worry and if you liked the car then go ahead. Hope it clarifies.

I took the test drive of Honda amaze top model manual. Test drive location eastern express Highway, Mumbai - 16-20 , km I am sharing honest review Suspension aren't good.. Gear shifting experience is very poor. Even the clutch position is not good. It is way out, resulting imbalance of foot positioning, resulting into more fatigue after few hours of driving and bumper to bumper traffic. Also clutch is quite hard. Video display of music player way too old. Touch response is quite poor. Side window lock is continuous press and not a single touch button. Mileage on Highway was around 10-12 No arm rest in automatic Backside arm rest touches the seat. It is manufacturing defect. 3 people backside will be uncomfortable. Road visibility is better than any other sedan car. Lights are strong. Aggressive look is just awesome. Seat covers are very ok. Manufacturing Warranty for 3 years is good thing.. It's good car for first time car ownership.
One more thing, it lacks the power even when climbing flyovers on Highway, at full acceleration, i could not cross 40 speed. Had to downshift to second gear.. it's not advisable to take this car on mountain roads. You will not enjoy.
I have Honda Amaze petrol SVT..engine is smooth, nice interiors, ample space for 5 adults, large boot space, good built quality, smooth short throw gearbox and feel good ride experiance..overall Honda petrol or petrol CVT lags initial power and torque and performs better only on higher speeds (above 70-80 kmph)..instead go for Honda Amaze diesel/ diesel CVT which has more punchy and powerful engine if you are looking for fun to drive car
@@paulpritam7054 I hv Amaze petrol SMT which gives around 12-14 kmpl..but on highway it gives 18+ mileage..CVT petrol gives 2-3 kmph less mileage than petrol..

Cons in the car - Rear seat headroom is suitable for height 5'10" or below. Above that, you start brushing your hair and slouch to avoid bumping your head on long drive.
Not recommending Honda to anyone. The steering is hard in Amaze compared to other cars that are priced less. So, the driver comfort is not there. On highways, its good but while driving on hill, it fails to deliver enough power despite it's 1.2L engine. Moreover, from the initial 1000kms itself there is a rattling noise inside the cabin which Honda guys are unable to resolve.
Only downside that I have found in Amaze is its road holding while taking sharp curves where you are scared to take curves at good speed..otherwise very satisfying experience so far.
I compared this to my oldest car which is in real good condtion. A 1.3 swift zxi 2006 petrol. The swift back then came with 2 airbags, abs, ebd, driver side window auto up and down, auto ac and much better build quality then the present gen hatchbacks leaving the tatas. The zxi also came with rally tuned suspension back then from the factory. The only difference in my 2006 swift versus a 2023 amaze is the amaze is little longer and has a cvt transmission . Looks I wont get into as thats subjective. I was to buy this...but in 2023 it doesnt even have cruise control on the automatic and a cooled glove box ..both these features i would use for touring long distance( if u c my channel. Last year solo from mumbai to kargil army base in my safari and this year pics and shorts of my santro xing from mumbai to koksar,lahul, kasol, jibhi (Himachal). I really dont care much for rear ac and screens (amaze digipad 8 is pathtic screen just by the way and in sunlight cant see nothing ). But about looks I really love the amaze vx cvt in white. Sadly may drop it as it doesnt meet my basic requirements. May go for altroz dca or iturbo. Honda is really taking Indians for granted. Amaze will be updated in 6 months mostly. So buying a outgoing one is pointless.
How is driving stability in Highway and city ? Ground clearance any impact? In my list Ignis vs Punch vs Hyundai Aura vs Amaze .. amaze is better than others ?
DON'T BUY I'm using petrol honda amaze 2019.. Please don't buy.. Pulling is very low vehicle got stoped in hill Road and can't over take smoothly and milage is 12 -13 kms. Consulred service centre for pulling issue, they told me it's default of the vehicle. At the time of test drive I asked the rep about this issue while driving. They cheated me by saying it's because of the test drive vehicle. U can buy automated diesel. My friend is using it. It's good pulling and milage. Interior and comfortability is good. But petrol amaze very very worst
I was looking for DCT but came to know about transmission overheating. Does this car offer some amount of fun elements? How is the performance of paddle shifters?
Its not as punchy as the Brio, hyundai venue /i10. The low end torque is missing in the Amaze, if you are looking for some quick acceleration in the city driving. It's a highway cruiser. But if you are wary of the DCT overheating and look forward to reliability, then can go for the Honda cvt options.
Hello People, Is there too much sound while accelerating in CVT model ? Because I took the test drive & it becomes noisy while accelerating. And how is the CVT lag ?
Purchased Amaze petrol CVT 2022 . Getting mileage of just 6.5 kmpl for first 100 kmts driven. Will it improve to 12-15 after first service ??? Very sad, after buying it. Not happy with mileage. Also not happy with AC. It takes time for cooling for back seat.
The engine usually takes some time to bed in, performance and efficiency improve only after the first oil change. Drive within the parameters given in the user manual and you should see the mileage improve in general.
@@CarWale I dive very smooth with rpm less then 2000. Normally eco mode is displayed. Let's hope it will improve. I made a complain to Honda customer care. Let's see their reply. Earlier I had Honda City.
Today came from long drive. Highway 200 kmts and 20 kmts Hyderabad City. Odometer showing average of 18. Did full tank and now after returning petrol indicator is at 60%. Looks decent on highway. Odometer showing 18. But I think I got 15-16 which is very good. With 80-90 speed, I was able to maintain eco mode.
I'm using Honda amaze CVT petrol automatic 1.2L Naturally aspirated engine from the last 9 months. Only reason i bought it is due to CVT. Getting mileage of 10.5kmpl in city and 11.5 on highway which is way too less when travelling with 2 members . Car feels underpowered while travelling with 5 members with luggage, we hear revving sound while accelerating and car takes time to move faster. Not a car for car enthusiasts. Overall not much satisfied for the purchase of 11L. Should have opted 1.2L turbo cars or a minimum of 1.5L NA engine.
I understood the manual shift using paddle shifters in S mode, but what is the usage of paddle shifters in D mode, kindly educate ! as per company, it is only for temporary use of engine braking ?
While going down an incline / ghat you can use the paddle shifter to move it to a lower gear, also if in a hurry to overtake same applies, overtaking can be achieved by stomping on the accelerator too, which takes down to lower gear. Another situation when you are wading through water, in which case use the paddle shifter in S mode to keep the gear on 1st, until you cross the water filled street. By the way this is from Honda city CVT experience, hope Amaze has S mode and paddle shifters. Any case the option to lock on to lower gear is provided in the stick shift if there are no paddle shifters.

Baleno, tata tiago, altroz, swift, dezire etc. Feature perspective baleno is better but comfort and engine optimisation with a CVT gearbox, Amaze is the winner. I own S CVT Amaze and very much satisfied. Rear seat is superb for long ride. Recommended to those who are looking for a budget friendly sedan with Automatic CVT.
I don't know how u experts r giving reviews over Honda Amaze...... But I've bought a year ago and recently it gave me 23.8 km/ltr for 350km and if I include city ride with my journey it gave me 21.5 ltr/km for 475 km. And it's on MT icvt topend variant. Just one flaw is in the car is door panels and window glass r making noice every time I've to tighten them on service. So far " Total Paisa Vasul" family car as well as an Officer's Car.😉😉😉
The fuel efficiency figure depends on a lot of factors. We are not targeting the best mileage possible, but a consistent one. This helps us compare different cars easily

No. The Amaze diesel was discontinued earlier this month. Lower demand and upcoming BS6 Phase 2 norms mean more manufacturers will discontinue diesel engines from their lineup
