Hey everyone! Hope you’re all doing well. Today I go over some of the benefits of the speed factory HD detent springs and how I install then into my 96spec ITR transmission. The upgraded detent springs are a nice cheap mod to get a much more crisp feel in every shift. So you guys know the deal! Like, share and subscribe! As always, this is how I changed the springs and transmission oil. I do not take any responsibility for improper installation. But I know you guys are smart and can handle this.

The only issue I had with the springs was when I had it paired with the mfactory rear shift bushing, I had weird issues downshifting from 5th to 4th with the lightweight spoon shift knob, a weight shift knob did end up working better, but I went back to the stock rubber bushing as a happy median with the detent springs as I like how the Spoon duracon feels. Still on the stock integra dualbend though.

Interesting! This is good to know. I run the spoon duracon as well. I think I didn’t run into the issue you had because of my shifter. I’m using a tegiwa shifter. It’s really similar to the fast line shifter. The shifter it’s self had some good weight to it. Plus the height might be giving me a small advantage

If I change these will my shifter be non loose when I go into gear? Because i got brand new bushings and my shifter is a little bit less loose but still loose a bit..

Is it absolutely necessary to change the transmission oil after changing the springs? Or can you just add the oil that you lost during the spring replacement?

Hey what’s up man? Nope not 100% necessary. I only changed the oil because I was already there. As long as you add what came out you should be just fine 👍🏽👍🏽
