Any update as far as durometer for the mounts? Looking to put something similar on my car but want to know if 60A is fine or if i should go up to 70-85A
This design is really flawed for 90’s Hondas with solid shift linkages. The stabilizer arm linkage maintains distance between the drivetrain and shifter, making it more like a RWD gearbox linkage. A shifter design that omits that linkage, and then requires stupid crazy stiff engine mounts to keep the car in gear, is just outright poor design. Some fresh bushings and maybe a Tyrannosaur Tightener in place of the shift linkage front knuckle and bitch pin is a much better solution for improved shifting feel.
Maybe you're right, but these feel fantastic for me. And that's on this car and the B EG coupe. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vAnwg6aApPc.htmlsi=HBzxhSzDcfb-c9pJ

Hoping I could get a reply from you, but reading these comments, does the shifter actually come out of gear? I just bought a bull boost similar shifter, worried I’m wasting money on it if it does pop out. I don’t want to upgrade my mounts as it is a daily driver and don’t want all the vibrations. Currently running a circuit x ktuned and would want info before I get rid of my current shifter
Can’t wait to se how it does at the track. I’ve got one of their obd1 Swap harnesses but haven’t installed it yet. Quality looks pretty good for the price.
Like the sticks on high-end Golf builds, nice. I can dig it, never seen this kind of design used on Hondas. Not a fan of the button on top for the lockout though tbf.
@@GarageBuiltHondas True. It does have a decent amount of travel to unlock tbf, plus if it's proper heavily sprung in case of lead hand? I don't see why it should be an issue. I just have apprehension due to how i hold when shifting in a car, flat handed from being a biker. =]
LATommy had the IRP version on his Green EK a few years back. You are correct he mention how it was German company for BMW shifters but he tried out the B series setup
best shifter upgrade to the 90s chassis , smooth butter operation , well built ,...only complain is the screw pin holding it in , lock tight it or upgrade the screw and youll be straight ....great vid op
On the part where you said you had to notch the center console, you can probably get away with installing some kind of weatherstripping to cover it thus making it look stock still with the leather boot on top.
Do you think that it would be possible to retain the entire linkage to make the assembly more solid? I accidentally ordered a solid bushing as well and would like to use it.
Awesome man. I've had this thing in my eBay watchlist since they first popped up since I want the IRP shifter so bad. Definitely keep us updated as mine would be for my Street Car. Only thing holding me back is waiting to order the upgraded engine mounts.
@@GarageBuiltHondas yea I'm on the fence about which ones to get. I wanna stick with Hasport but they only have 70A and huge jump to the next one. Innovative has 75A but I read mixed reviews on those mounts. Build is a 400whp Street car so not sure if I want to go Track Bushings
@@GarageBuiltHondas lol honestly that's kinda what I was thinking anyway. My car isn't exactly smooth and quiet. Good to know man. Might step up to the 88A Hasport. Probably be a couple of months before I go that route so I will probably check back in to see how its holding up
Too bad that you don't have an option to delete the button in the center. I have a d series crx and I don't need the lock out function. I'm considering getting this shifter! Better price point over the higher end companies and does the job just as good! I can't wait to see the next review video!
@@GarageBuiltHondas Love to see it in action and a long-term review! it reminds me of the CAE shifter! A friend of mine has one in his MK2 Golf GTI! He says that it's very precise!
I've been researching this shifter for a hot minute. Thinking of purchasing the 1320 version. You can utilize an OEM or Aftermarket shift knobs on that version. Im wondering how it would looked paired with a GSR shift knob. I'm currently running a hybrid shifter. It shifts nice but I'm getting this weird up & down play.
I've seen. That's a gripe I have a little also but I only track this car so it shouldn't be an issue. I was worried about it being hot but I wear gloves at the track and don't think it'll affect it.
I had that up n down issue until I put a brand new honda genuine OEM shift lever m/t ball seat and dust seal kit now I have zero play this shifter also eliminates that issue
