With all the talk that goes on from the import guys, I was given the impression that with just a few simple mods you could make 1000hp from a Honda engine. Being someone who has built a few engines was somewhat skeptical. At the same time I couldn't help feeling frustrated at the idea that I'm wasting my time and dumping tones of money into trying to soup up my American V8 when some kid can throw a few low cost mods on his Honda and run circles around me. Watching this video really clarified things for me. I can see the time, money and effort that actually goes into building these engines. I can now learn appreciate and respect what goes on in the import community and let go of the animosity that I held before.
Ive had muscle cars since I was 17, 454 chevs, 440 mopars, 400 gtos, you name it. Im into hondas now. All that old school muscle was fun back in the day, now its too hard and expensive to find parts, if I go that route Ill get an LS1 f-body but for now im playing around with turbo hondas
Yeah, I used to always look at fat exhaust tips on the back of Civics and laugh - like WTF, do they even think a Civic can be a "performance" car? I though they were a joke. But now, I understand that sometimes a "rice rocket" really can be like a rocket on wheels.
That's the sickest B series turbo build I've ever seen. Super clean and neat, just like it should be. The Dart block is the only way to go for high boost B builds.
you didn't give the name of the song played from the beginning you just said song name Asian rap beat do you have the name of the artist and song name thanks please

+Stuntihn MX I can because my nearly stock 90 Integra runs only .9 of a second slower... like seriously the cars set up was all motor no thoughts about how the stock trans will have to short of a finl gear, and no suspension tuning AT ALL. stupidest way to build a car. you start at brakes, tires, then suspension. only after that do you move to engines, and trans! never add power before your car can handle it!
Perhaps the best video showing a build from the scratch. And also very motivational (even though I dont know many things about car engineering assembly). I wish I knew more, but... lets say things in Greece suck and end the discussion haha.
Top video !! Super gedaan ;))
Straight up impressive numbers from a B18. Keep it up and keep us posted. Ever thought about a N/A build? I know the torque isn't there for the strip, but it's a blast if you're into that. I bet you could be making upwards of 300 HP. Great way to give an engine a base tune and build boost off of that minus some details like cam timing. Specs? Rev limiter? Most boost? I'd love to know more about the engine.
Hello @Greg Blank we have a All Motor B18 civic running the track. We use nitro also to get the car faster. N/A the cars runs 11.7 On nitrous the cars runs 10.7 921 Hp on 35 PSI rev limiter on 9000 rpm ) but were gonna put that higher, we are thingking to take it to 9600 or 9700 RPM´s I´m not putting the whole spec of my engine on youtube. Find me on facebook and we can talk about it :-)
1ceman1981 Only have what I have atm on youtube which is not shit. In a few months it should be bk on the track with new tune and axles which is what it needs, but I am too broke llooll. Mine is Jg head, dart block and will not post spec's here, funny I had it up for sale and people didn't even know wtf they where looking at kept getting kids sending me there K swaps saying lets race lol. That dart block tho is unbeatable tho just turn up the boast or Nos and GO.
I have some of the same Coca-Cola glass's from Germany's McDonald's while I was stationed there... When it comes to performance, I hate FWD and most Honda's, but props are due. Good show sir, good show. But it would have been easier to go faster in a DSM ;)
1500lbs car. The civic type r is 40+ thousand dollars, and 3500lbs. its a sick build, and a nicely done video. I saw a video of a stripped down eg hatch with a turbo walked a civic type r
+b00stedrust And that is the correct answer, this is the first time for me driving such a car on track. that's why my slicks are not on 5 or 6 psi i would break my gearbox. Dont have a dogbox like the big guys. So i have to do it with a stock box :-)
I think more Honda people need to go to the race track instead of the 1/4 mile. I love Hondas, I drive an Integra but our cars no matter how well built cant compete with American Muscle in 1/4 mile, our fwd just can't put the power down like rwd can. Thats is why I prefer the race track because especially Integras like mine which are probably the best handling fwd car ever, they have a better chance competing with high end cars on a race track than high end cars on a 1/4 mile track.
+James Edward There is a eg hatchback sponsored by Speed Factory that has 1500 hp and has done a best of 7.91 @ 196 in the 1/4 mile. Body wise it looks like this car except the front fenders and front bumper are 1 piece.
FWD is just a shit platform for drag.. Period.. Cut out the back seat and plot the driveline powering the rear wheels with some proper suspension and much larger tires, this thing would probably break into the low 9's or better. Even with this low boost / high boost thing he's not even coming close to getting 900whp to the ground...
There was a local 1992-1995 Honda Civic coupe with a Ford 302 with a big turbo bolted up. He converted it into a RWD car. Used a Ford 9 inch rear end. The catch was that he used the Honda frame. He said the Civic's frame was more rigid than the Foxbody's frame the motor came out of. It was a super cool car. Haven't seen it in 9+ years so who knows if it's even around. It looked awesome with some drag radials in the rear.
+Cannon Kidd I wanted to do something different so that's why i used a B18. I dident want to be like all the other guys how are using a 2 liter or 2.2 liter engine to go fast :-) And of course you can get more power out of a 2 liter or higher.
its completely an opinion.... "personally, id never....." of course they are capable, are they at the same level as a k series.... of course not. is this one right here awesome yes
+Joshua Badillo no traction. there are things he can do to get better traction. not sure how many he has done. but yeah im sure there is more he could do to get better traction in lower gears. some else mentioned boost by gear wich is a great idea that would help so much.
those are not 921hp. You need much more for that goal. I had a civic too, I did turbo. Even if it's real, 921hp without boost per gear, it's just stupid
"God made man, but Samuel Colt made them equal," if thats true then Karl Benz (inventor of the automobile) made automobiles then Dr. Alfred Büchi (inventor of the turbocharger) made all cars equal!
Luke Knighton im not saying your wrong but i didnt want to be myself so b4 i posted this i googled it and thats what i found on multiple websites, just saying
+pavel1809 Hello pavel1809 i did the airbrush myself . For me it's a hobby i airbrush valve covers for friends and people i know. But if you want something done let me know 😃
Dude then don't believe it 😃 I know what i've got and why would i lie about it. There are always people that don't believe it. You can contact the tuner.;-)
I like the Honda Car wich you transformed into a BEAST. a.k.a. THE JAPANEZE WIDOW-MAKER. LOL. For 921 HP that's a serious machine. And it's even Street-Legal. Good Job
yeah and there yo go, you are talking about santa pod where the track is first class in the Netherlands the track is shitty they try to get it good, but it will never be as good as in santa pod or the rest of the world.
Yooo thats mad from fwd honda turbos massive pops big flames in every gear shift nice but when the car was at the drag strip the 4 door turbo car in the right lane launched rapidly!!! off line never seen that reaction b4 900hp eg chewed him up quickly after love Hondas man
+Geovaune Hudson Thanks for the reaction, this was for us testing how the car would do on the track. We hope that the results will be better next year. I never have driven a 921 HP Honda and have a lot things to learn. The builder of my engine has more experience in driving a race car. But it will go better in time :-)
Proof that having all that power in a FWD car is stupid. lol you will lose races but spin tires if thats what you want for all that money. Face Palm lol
russrt spooling watch videos of them and you can just turn it into a RWD or a AWD and an Fwd killed Some Tuined Nissan Skylines with 800hp (The Gtr Killer) its possible to have so much power but a low rate of wheel spin. if that helps your comment.
That's pretty sick rite there! Dont understand the rear lines going to the catch can but I guess if you got money to spend on oil then its not an issue 👍
Expensive lesson. Virtually all inline production engines are cast with an offset crank... NOT centered with cylinder bore. This makes torque but limits top rpm. due to the weight of the rods spending more time at one side of the crank vs. the other. Racing companies know this ... now so do you. Center the crank... rev high... make power... win !
Nice build but this car has 9s in it if set up right. 26" slicks at about 6-9psi, boost by gear and believe it or not, straight cut gears(not to be confused with dog box) Although a dog-box would be nice, it takes a while to master without messing up, not to mention expensive.
