this bike is absolutely lovely, the design, the comfort , the power of the 4 cylinder, The quick shifter, not to much technologies on it. pure machine. I bought it two years ago and I would not change for any other bike. Its a naked bike so don't plan to have a comfortable ride on the highway but damn on the twisties its perfect

Haven’t even begun to watch this review Eddie, but already I’m loving the intro music. What is it and by whom?

Iv'e watched so many motorcycle reviews out of the UK. Do you guys ever get out of the driveways and country lanes clogged with traffic and actually get after it. I could pace the riding portions on my PCX

Hi Eddie, another great review 👍🏻 It’s a good looking bike for sure. It’s a pity my wallet and garage couldn’t stretch to having more bikes! 😂 I’d be happy if you could review the Kawasaki Z900 I’d like to hear your thoughts on it.

The quick shifter has 3 settings. I have it on soft, and have less false changes. I had a tuono factory and that had the same odd poor change. I have learnt to be positive with the foot and throttle.

Having driven over one million miles in the last thirty years I do like to try and work out where a road is when I see anybody driving or riding. Often even if it’s nowhere near Lincoln I can recognise where someone is very quickly from the thousands of snapshot memories I have in my head. As I was watching this video I have to admit I swiped forward once the riding started and where I stopped I immediately thought I recognised the road. Swiping back a little I came to the section where you were stopped at some traffic lights at a bridge. This seems to be the road from Fiskerton to Bardney where the pub is near Lincoln. I have ridden this road many times the most recently was last night (the hottest day of the year so far) on my 2019 CB 1000r plus. I had just had a great relaxing ride over the Wolds and back through Wragby before taking this road back into Lincoln. At the section after the bridge the road surface is awful and highlights the only real issue with this bike, the rear shock absorber. If you stiffen it up it’s better but at some point I’ll will probably change it. The CB is a real Smooth refined and pleasantly quick bike if you never go over seven thousand revs but keep it pinned and it’s very fast with amazing speed in the gears if you chase the red line. Having had various bikes in the last ten years including two Hayabusas a fireblade a remapped MT10 and am currently running a KTM Superduke GT as my touring and two up bike I can say this bikes acceleration and general performance is more than fast enough in spite of its seemingly modest power output compared to some of the crazy bikes out there. I highly recommend a second hand plus model as there fantastic value compared to a new one and even though there are some very affordable PCP deals out there I would try a good low mileage second hand bike and get a low APR loan and save thousands of pounds like I did. Mine was twenty two months old with one owner and twelve hundred miles for around £3500 less than a new one. Great video by the way 👍👍👍

Hi Eddie Thanks a lot for this review, this has been one of those bikes l have always had an interest in. In my light inspired day dreams it would be one of the 'fleet'. Seriously l love the styling that it is a 4 cylinder. As l am at that stage on my riding journey where l do not considerr anything lower than a 900, this is right up my alley. l hope at some time it will be available in my locale but for now l have to watch it from afar. l think this is in an incredible machine it can really be said more or less one of a kind and being a Honda l do hope the overall build, quality and refinement are at the very top. Thanks a lot for this. Keep them coming.

The suspension is almost fully adjustable - go ahead and dial out the softness, if you'd like

I'm a bit disappointed with the performance and the soft rear, but I brought it to be more comfortable and get away from sportsbikes, but it's really not for me unfortunately,

Toad from Visordown noted this but solved the problem by moving the stock shock to a higher preload setting. He was happy after that and that's a man who enjoys a track day.

@@kb34958 Agreed. I adjusted mine over about a week making small adjustments then going on the same 10 mile loop. I settled on 2 extra clicks + preload and a touch of rebound. Rides well, very well. Plush.

People having problems with paint quality and porus engine covers and stained headers, otherwise a great looking machine, I hope Honda hasn't gone slack on quality control!!

One RU-vidr who needs views (clickbait) has covered his gripes with a specific dealer in Germany. I’ve got this bike and read the CB forums, I can’t honestly think I have seen any other owners moaning about this. Modern paint on all bikes is soft compared to years ago, blame progress.
@Dara-ih6jq

Honda paint is notorious for being soft and easily scratched and scuffed especially the black that they use I remember showing this bike when it first came out to my mechanic in the very first comment he said was that’s a damn good looking bike it’s a shame Honda can’t make a good black paint….. and then after that I’ve seen nothing but comments about people talking about the paint on this bike but my mechanic had known about this before this bike even existed he says it’s always been a problem with Hondas black it’s just super soft and scratches easily and scuffs easily. So if you plan on buying this bike you probably should get it ceramic code or something like that to Harden and protect that soft black paint because it’s beautiful when it’s brand-new but it gets ugly quick.

I have a gloss black CB650R and the paint is fine. Made in Thailand not Japan like the C B1000R.

For the price of this bike it should have a six axis I am you and cruise control like the MTO 9SP when bikes that are in a lower category have more features do you know it’s time for an update… And by update I mean keep the same awesome look just give the bike cruise control in a six access IMU like Yamaha offers on its naked bikes that cost over $9,000
@jfro5867
@jfro5867 2 года назад
Depends what you want Dara. I’ve had cruise on a bike before and never used it other than to see how it actually worked. I wouldn’t buy this bike to trogg down long straight motorways or freeways there’s better bikes for that. I think cruise on a bike is dangerous, a Goldwing maybe, but otherwise no, just my view.
