I finally bought a 125s a month ago and it came with this exhaust as spares. The previous owner couldn't get it to fit. I had to bend the front inlet part of the exhaust to fit squarely with the head. It also needs a bent upwards under the RHS engine case to get the mounting bracket to fit on the swing arm pivot bolt. Once on what a bloody racket! But if you look at the baffle, it's not fitted correctly and there is a big gap around the outer edge of the silencer that defeats the object entirely. I went around the end of the silencer with a copper mallet to close up the gap and make it join the baffle. This has made the silencer actually sound very similar to the rusty old original.
There is already two screw holes in the rear of the exhaust to mount a baffle. If you were to take a similar diameter pipe 12inch long with a cap on the end and drill many many holes in the sides of it, it would effectively baffle without being restrictive.
Morning Bob. I experimented with this idea but it turned out that even if I seal the exit hole totally, the gasses are free flowing around the outer space she of the end plate. No noise reduction was observed either. However, your idea with the adoration of glass fibre might work. Thank you
There are specialists out there who can strip, rebuild and rechrome the original - might be pricey but best bet looking at the cracking job you have done on the rest of the bike
my factory muffler is completely falling apart, it also broke off from the header pipe...😬 so i am also on the hunt for a stock or stock-ish exhaust, a little more noise couldnt hurt but i already tried one of those chinesium fart cans on it and it sounded absolutely horrible😂
Just went to fit mine, they sent the wrong one, Liam was brilliant sending one next day (tomorrow) and collecting other one. Good people Wemoto. I have to use it as have no other. Got to fab up the bracket as they seem to made from unobtanium ☹️
Dear sir you have done very nice job to your bikes i have got cb125 as well and the bike need rebuild, do you know where i can find any part of the bike?
Good question, I see that they are out of stock again. I haven't got the delivery note to hand but if you call Liam at wemoto, he can answer your question.
Hello Richard pretty much finished mine now but now standing on wheels the silencer seems very low top edge is a lot below spindle, might have a badly made one might be worth Liam sending me another to try?
